Up for Debate: IRS chief out

Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 1:20am

Do you agree with the dismissal of acting IRS commissioner? Is he just an easy scapegoat? Do you think others dismissals follow?

I'm with Nimrod. But, the apes would riot if he were hung without trial. Of course, they'd riot with a trial ---so maybe you are right, Nimrod.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:43

Loner, he is a flea thinking he can rape an elephant.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 7:44

Obama lied and covered up Libya.

Obama directed the IRS, EPA, and other government agencies to spy on and harass US citizens.

Obama is not a US citizen.

And you libtards think Nixon was bad?

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:45

Jugs shifts from xenophobic, to homophobic, to misogynistic....

Keep going, Jugs, you hit first and second, now hit third and get rubber in fourth!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:45

Jug is another gullible troll. He gets his info from conspiracy websites and thinks they are facts. What an idiot.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:46

I never said anything about hanging anyone, flea. I was just quoting a fool.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:46

The people running those conspiracy websites are making a killing off their advertising clicks. What a scam!

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:49

Now I'm getting an ad for a Muslim dating service on my screen...oy!

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:49

Find the genetic misfits and you find yogi, Raspy and the flea. That might make a good cartoon show.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:50

LOL Loner.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:54

The jug is filled with right-wing venom....like a mindless worker bee....busily working the pistils and stamens....looking for the nectar of hate....spreading the pollen of fear.....Buzz off! Shoo!

By: govskeptic on 5/16/13 at 7:59

Lots of patty cakes going on with no direction or sense to the subject. Daily B.S.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:59

In spite of raised tempers and allegations that the Democrats were targeting Tea Party and conservative Republican organizations, this case is far more ambiguous than it may initially seem — it takes place deep in the murky realm of campaign finance laws.

http://www.mintpressnews.com/inappropriate-criteria-inadequate-management-to-blame-for-irs-fiasco/

The article above provides a lot of food for thought.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 8:01

In 2010, the Determinations Unit noticed something peculiar about the I.R.C. § 501(c) applications it was receiving. Many of the applications requesting I.R.C. § 501(c)(4) status as a “social welfare” organization were clearly, on closer review, not social welfare groups. An example of this is Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS, which sought social welfare organization status. Crossroads GPS’s parent organization, American Crossroads, is a I.R.C. § 527 organization, which are required to publicly disclose their donors.

This raised a red flag with the IRS. First, no group has to file an application with the IRS to call itself a social welfare organization. Social welfare organizations cannot receive tax-deductible charitable contributions and cannot primarily engage in political campaign interventions.

A social welfare organization can engage in unlimited legislative lobbying and can engage in general advocacy — as long as that advocacy does not favor specific legislation or the election of a candidate.

In a 2012 article, investigative journalists at ProPublica pointed out that many “social welfare” organizations actively participated in the elections, donating millions. An example of this is the Republican Jewish Coalition, which had a plan to anonymously funnel $6.5 million into the Mitt Romney campaign.

I love how you scumball libtards want to sweep Obama's criminal misdeeds under the rug.

The equivalent act by a Republican would have made you liberal idiots shart your pants and scream like the teenage girls that you are.

Lying, dishonest, disgusting scum---liberals. Did I also say they are pathetic and girly wussies?

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 8:05

Just wondering--some of you liberal males tell me, please----how does it feel to wake up each morning and realize your huevos were replaced by a vagina?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 8:07

So, the IRS wasn't out of line in what they speculated, it's just how they went about it that was inappropriate.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 8:08

Jugs, maybe you were born with eggs but most males are not.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 8:09

Jugs: Say this three times quickly: Sick sex schtick sucks shit.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 8:09

It's safer to say that the real guys on this board were born with something closer to chorizo.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 8:19

What does he know, he has none.

You are right gov and good morning to you.

By: govskeptic on 5/16/13 at 8:20

Next we will be learning that these IRS guys gave the donor list they demanded from
the Conservative groups to those like ProPublica and Planned Parenthood to use
for attack purpose against those donors. That will prove to be totally criminal acts.

Of course, this type usage would be fine with the NY Times and a few others of
like minds, along with many members of congress.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 8:23

gov, the only group to have their status pulled was a liberal group. What do you make of that?

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 8:31

The IRS conducted surveillance, and even you lying libtards know it. You just do not care because the victims were conservatives.

And that is why I absolutely despise pathetic, intellectually dishonest liberals. It will be cute watching you idiots come up with justification for this criminal gov't surveillance.

All part of hope and change.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 8:33

C'mon, libtards. Let's see your pathetic excuses for Obama/IRS illegal activities.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 8:53

I was audited in 2010, 2011, and 2012 (never audited before) and required to provide extensive documentation of my charitable donations (to conservative groups, of course).

I prevailed each time, but it was 6 months of follow-up requests for additional information before the IRS stopped.

I am CERTAIN that I was targeted. And, as much as you libtards hate me, you should be scared that this is happening in the US. The tables could turn, doncha know.....

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 9:03

Coffee break, kids.

B2, I'm wrong by some issues for believing what I've seen posted. And you, among others on this site are quick to point that out.

But it's funny, you can so quickly and easily find my errors but you can't seem to explain to me how Barack Obama could be eligible for the presidency with a foreign father and teenage mother.

And you don't seem to be able to explain why he advertised he was born in Kenya for 16 years until he decided to enter the race.

Back outside, kids. Go back to having your fun and I'll look for answers to my stupid question on my next coffee break.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 9:04

We don't hate you, Jugs...we love you....come...smoke the pipe of peace...let us join in a circle and sing Kum-Ba-Yah....Someone's whining, Lord, Kum-Ba-Yah....let's sing for brother Jughead.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 9:18

yogi, you would know the answers to your questions if had been paying attention for the last 4 years of your whining. How many times do you have to be shown??? Or is your reading comprehension just that bad????

Jug, everyone who throws up a flag is audited - not just conservatives. Would you rather that it be easy for people to cheat on their taxes?

By: dargent7 on 5/16/13 at 9:41

Loner: Don't forget...Tricky Dick/ FBI also targeted John Lennon, but welcomed Elvis to the W.H. One wrote beautiful memorable music, the other ate peanut butter and banana sandwiches and shot his TV.

By: dargent7 on 5/16/13 at 9:45

Yogi: Your 6:05am post was great. If you use FACTS, maybe people won't think of you as off your rocker and a racist.

By: dargent7 on 5/16/13 at 9:52

Speaking of ovaries...A. Jolie is having her's removed. To prevent ovarian cancer. This Jolie psycho is hearlded as a "role model" for young women. Maybe men can have their testicles removed/ castrated at birth ( become eunochs) to prevent testicular cancer? And while the surgeon is chopping away, remove the pancreas, prostate, kidneys, and liver. Hollywood has too much time and money on their hands.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 9:56

Balls.

By: govskeptic on 5/16/13 at 10:47

Blanket:

You ask: "What do I think of your statement and posting about only 1 liberal organization having their status polled"? Very little frankly! It's not about some
goof ball website mentioning that non-related org. This is about harassing
questions, delays, questions of a personal nature with a "demand" for
information not ask of other organizations such as religious affiliations,
pass donations by these donors and officers. Contrary to most press it
didn't just target Tea Party named org., but also any with Patriot in the name
and/or certain Tax names. Disgusting. 2/3 of applicants were finally approved
after many months and amended filings, but 1/3 were never approved.

By: bfra on 5/16/13 at 10:55

gov. - Why was 1/3 not approved. Surely you know a reason.

By: dargent7 on 5/16/13 at 11:25

He knows..and don't call him shirley.

By: bfra on 5/16/13 at 11:30

d7 - Now pipe down & enjoy that beautiful weather I am sure you are having on the West Coast. LOL

By the way, the Beatles couldn't hold Elvis Presley a light! Nobody could, he was & is still The King.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 12:19

If the truth was to be told, the flea never earn an honest dollar until ,2010,2011,2012. The rest of time he was incarcerated.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 12:20

Coffee break, kids. B2, what language did you use when you posted to me your proof of Barry's Constitutional eligibility? It must have been one I couldn't understand. How about repeating it in English... or have you forgotten what you posted before?

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 12:29

I'm still curious as how a dual-citizen (if he is one) can hold the President's office. If he was born in Kenya as he claimed, he was born a British subject. If he was born in Hawaii, he was born a British subject because his mother didn't meet the time requirement to pass her American citizenship down to him.

Ah well, back in the pasture. Maybe I can read it on my next coffee break, B2. Thanks for the info.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 12:30

Sorry, I hit the button before I finished my post. In too big of a hurry, I guess.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 12:43

Apparently, yogi doesn't speak English well at all or he would know it to see it. Maybe I should use smaller, single syllable words.

gov, how the IRS went about it was stupid but the GOP isn't the only group that has dealt with IRS stupdity and they were not targeted. Do your homework!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 12:44

btw, gov. It wasn't a single website mentioning one "goofball org." It's all over the press.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 12:51

The scandal here isn't the IRS having the common sense to look harder at these organizations. The scandal is the utter incompetence with which they did it. Asking stupid questions, asking for radio interview transcripts? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Their incompetence is truly mind-blowing, but this one case study should prove beyond all reasonable doubt that these so-called grassroots organizations deserved all scrutiny and attention given to them. After all, these organizations and their donors are asking for a pass on taxes. They have a duty to prove they deserve that.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 2:30

shb when you are stupid.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 2:35

He must drink a lot of coffee.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 2:42

Maybe Starbucks should be concerned.

This congress is going to spend a lot of time like they did with Clinton and in the end they will be disgraced.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 2:48

yogi had never heard of Starbucks, remember? Besides, he drinks homemade hillbilly wine so I doubt he has good taste in coffee.
