Up for Debate: Judge halts Occupy arrests

Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11:59pm

As a federal judge Monday granted a temporary restraining order stopping the more than 50 arrests of Occupy Nashville protesters on Legislative Plaza, is it surprising to learn the state offered no opposition the motion in court?

Palin is like yogi. No since of History or Geography.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/1/11 at 1:05

Speaking of Palin… she has been out of the lime light for a long time now. I’m sure we will be hearing from her soon. Too soon, I’m afraid.

Awww the rwnj/troll serr tries to take a pot shot at me...I'm honored you decided I was worthy of your hate today.

Since she apparently never said it, let take another Palin gaffe to disprove the moron - How about someone who thinks the French President actually sounds like he was from a 1950's cartoon? That was priceless.

On Anderson Cooper last night, Ari Fliescher, loyal Bushite and bona fide Israeli agent, said that if sexual harassment did occur, contrary to Cain's denials, then Cain would be in deep trouble.....Mitt Romney has sewn up the Israel Lobby's support...he will make an excellent vassal to the Jewish state....Jews naturally distrust the "schwarze", they'll go with the white Jew wannabe from the Mormon state....he's a better @ss licker than Cain.

The nomination is Mitt's to lose....he has been vetted by our Israeli overlords and found to be fit for the job of chief @ss-licker....he has his mind right...Armageddon dead ahead.

Goldman Sachs is Obama's crony b*tch brrrk... your beef should be with the White-House.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/1/11 at 1:10

Ben I don’t know what you are trying to show us, but it is not appearing.

By: Loner on 11/1/11 at 1:11

Hey Serr8d, it's past Halloween, you can take off that ridiculous tin-foil hat anytime now. You left out some high profile OWS supporters on your list...Count Dracula, Vlad the Impaler, Adolf Hitler, Benedict Arnold, Pontius Pilate and Emperor Nero were left out, how come?

By: BenDover on 11/1/11 at 1:12

... and I'll raise you a housing melt-down...

“The edict — completely overlooked by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission and the mainstream media — was signed by then-HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros, Attorney General Janet Reno, Comptroller of the Currency Eugene Ludwig and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, along with the heads of six other financial regulatory agencies. . . . Confronted with the combined force of 10 federal regulators, lenders naturally toed the line, and were soon aggressively marketing subprime mortgages in urban areas.”

Oh, my. A deaf man was raped at Zuccotti Park...

Q: You said a deaf guy was raped?
A: Yeah. . .
Q: Did the guy, I mean, do these, did that get reported to the police, or did that stay inside the camp?
A: Well, OK, I’m not sure for that particular incident. Yeah, no I — that might have stayed inside the camp.

Today, Big Government is releasing a video filmed yesterday in Zuccotti Park, featuring an activist who has been at the Occupy Wall Street protest since it began. The young woman, whom we believe to be an activist named Channing Kehoe, refers to part of Zuccotti Park as a “ghetto,” and discusses the prevalence of drug abuse, sexual assault, rape, and other violent crimes among the demonstrators:

You know as well as I do that companies like Goldman Sachs hedge their bets. They, like a lot of other financial institutions, put their money behind who they perceive to be winner.

Click through the various years and you'll see that on those years that Republicans looked like they were going to win, the financial institutions were backing Republicans, and vice versa.

So, the Koch brothers and Bloomberg are now recruiting rapists as agents provocateur? Sounds like something that Col. Qadaffi, PM Netanyahu, or Syria's Assad might do...Koch and Bloomie certainly are capable of hiring criminals to do harm to the protesters....they are shameless faith-based fascists....we know that.

"Dollard, 42, admits all this stuff -- and much, much more! -- in a wonderfully bizarre profile in the March issue of Vanity Fair. It's the strange story, writes author Evan Wright, of how 'a confessed whore-loving, alcoholic, coked-out Hollywood agent' became 'the great hope of conservative America.' "

Great source....... :-)

So far, the Zombie site censors are not publishing my comment...apparently they like to maintain herd integrity...no new ideas needed...they are already perfect. Of course, Serr8d loves a BS site like Zombie's...pure right wing fantasy land.

I gotta go...my old hound dog rolled in something effin' nasty...to the dog wash!

We need a cyber dog wash to clean up posters like Serr8d, when they roll in feces...yeah, I know it's a natural thing for a right-wing carnivorous predator to do, to hide his scent from the leftist herbivores; but really....it's stinking up the place.

See ya!

Have any of you notice how much time serr8d has spent with us and on company time too. I wonder if he is out of work.

Later Loner.

I appreciate the posters who call college degrees, "worthless", and these Occupiers Nationwide, "vagrants". Shows a lot of depth and perception.
9 out of 10 insulters don't have one, but let's sidestep that obvious point.
I really hate to use personal info, but here's the real truth to a college degree:
It's an INVESTMENT. If not now, then in your future.
In San Diego, got a job at the Wild Animal Park. Not as an animal handler, but with a degree, IN WHATEVER.
Employers like that. Shows commitment. Goal setting. Achievement.
Came back to Michigan and went to multiple employment agencies (1979), and they all offered me jobs selling industrial gloves, driving a fork lift, selling J & J surgical gloves, or .....waiting tables.
But, my degree is in Zoology, Mr. employment person..." "HA!"
I forgot my point, but a college degree is NEVER a waste of time or money.

$80K and 4 years of your life for a degree in Women's Studies or Renaissance Literature, or African Folk Culture is like giving everyone else a 4 years head-start and then poking a couple of large debt-anvils in your back-pack.

What a college degree shows more than anything is the ability to learn and how to use what you've learned in a practical way. Like my brother (who has his masters in Mechanical Engineering) once said, "it's one thing to know where to put your feet; it's another thing to know how to dance".

Don't know what you do for a living, but I work in IT and the vast majority of the people that I've worked with over the years didn't have computer degrees.... although most had degrees in other areas. I even worked with a guy once that had a degree in Theology.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/1/11 at 3:05

The only waste of time is serr8d.

By: dargent7 on 11/1/11 at 3:35

Totally absurd comment from the peanut gallery, eg. BenD.
A college degree, from a repretable institution (not the fly-by night, "career/ trade" crap I see advertised all over Tenn. or even how these southern lawyers bastardized the law profession with their, " I got $500,000 for my client and this new Mercedes Benz for myself, ads...") is money in the bank.
And, if not, so what?
Getting laid in college by a 19 year old co-ed is as close to God as one get's. At that age. Really, at any age.
And you sign up for 4 years of that experience.
Count me in.

By: BenDover on 11/1/11 at 9:48

Well... there's no arguing that, D'arge.
