Do you see the scrap metal plant along the Cumberland River as an eyesore or just part of the city? Should it be a priority to relocate it?
"Yeah, Boykin's a bigtime fundamentalist...shooting Muslims for Jesus...can I get an amen, bruthah?"
Well then, at least we know he's unbiased and doesn't have an agenda....
Here's some of his rhetoric...
One day, we're going to stand before the gates of Heaven. Some of us want to be able to walk up there in a white robe and we want to sing Abba Father and Amazing Grace and we want to say to the Lord, "I worshiped You." But I want you to think about this: Here's the way I want to enter the gates of Heaven. I want to come skidding in there on all fours. I want to be slipping and sliding and I want to hit the gates of heaven with a bang. And when I stand up and I stand before Christ, I want there to be blood on my knees and my elbows. I want to be covered with mud. And I want to be standing there with a ragged breast plate of righteousness. And a spear in my hand. And I want to say, "Look at me, Jesus. I've been in the battle. I've been fighting for you." Ladies and gentlemen, put your armor on and get into battle. God bless you.
yogi doesn't realize that, for some people that read his idiotic wailing and definitely don't want to be connected with anyone or anything that crazy, will vote for Obama. He is probably helping Obama, more that harming him.
Everything to which yogi subscribes caters to the extreme. There's a growing number of Conservatives to which this can apply and to which I say they've collectively lost their mind.
I understand that in tough times, people often resort to more fundamental values, but this is ridiculous. This isn't about returning to basics, this is about an irrational fear. Martial law?? Repealing the 2nd amendment?? Communism??
I'd say some flew over the coockoo's nest...
Looks like Santorum got caught cursing...and lying...
When asked if he thinks Mitt Romney is the "worst Republican in the country to run against Obama," by a New York Times reporter, Santorum responded "I didn't say that. You guys are distorting what I'm saying … Quit distorting my words. It's bulls***."
Santorum actually said this in Wisconsin: "Why would we put someone up who is uniquely - pick any other Republican in the country. He is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama. Why would Wisconsin want to vote for someone like that?"
I try not to bring up national politics at the club since 97 out of every 100 is a Republican and why get in a dither when all of us agree as to good and evil, class and classless. However last week I heard a very profound statement at the Gin table. "We can survive Barack Hussein Obama but we cannot survive and will not survive those that voted for him."
I have no doubt that this man was a fiscal conservative to go along with a net worth of something north of 10 million dollars. This man wreaks of elitism. Do any of us think that this man was born an elitist? Did he acquire this social outlook, and if so why do you think he developed these elitist tendencies?
What club are you talking about, Rasputin72? It surely isn't this "club". I'd say the "members" of this "club" reverse your numbers with 98 out of 100 being democrats.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have referenced where I got my information many times on this site and I haven't had one comment about what I've said showing me wrong in my references.
I'm pretty well convinced on one of two conclusions. You are avid Obama supporters, or ignorant of the facts and have no mood to look any references up unless you agree with them.
As I have noted before, common sense should tell you Obama is a fake or he would not spend millions to keep his records under lock and key.
It's obvious his "birth certificate" is a forged document and you don't need to be an expert to notice that. Whoever created that form either made those errors on purpose or was just too ignorant, computer wise, to know they were making errors.
Had a great protest in Albion today...nice and sunny but windy and only 36 degrees...there's a danger now to the cherry crop, according to local news reports...everything is 3-4 weeks premature this year...we could have an April Fool's joke played on us....we could still get a blizzard or an ice storm....I know this area, it can be downright nasty in April...I got married in mid-April in 1971...in Massena, NY - traditionally the coldest spot in the state - there was a foot of snow on the ground that day.
What's the weather doing in Music City these days?
Nice and sunny at 73 degrees. My maple trees are growing full sized leaves already. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s this week. Lows in the 50s.
Don't you wish you could have this kind of weather up there?
