Up for Debate: Permitting LED signs

Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 11:15pm

Would permitting a special zoning change to allow one church the use of an LED sign lead to a bad precedent throughout the county, or could Metro handle such changes on a case-by-case basis?

Bud: I realize the Salvation Army is a 24/7, 365 days a year organization.
I was refering to numb-nuts, aka Sir-8, who says he "gives to charity, when warranted"... Who also said all Democrats are Atheists, they want to outlaw Christmas trees, and the "Occupy" Nashville people are indigent, filthy vagrants, they defacate on Police cars, are involved in rapes, sodomy, and shoot heroin between rallys.......
Christ, Bud, please try to keep up.

Sorry, I misspoke. The, "involved in rapes, sodomy, and the shooting of heroin..", I was refering to The Rolling Stones and Roman Polanski.

“There is no way for us, as militiamen, to save this country, to save Georgia, without doing something that’s highly, highly illegal: murder,” one of those charged, Frederick Thomas, 73, of Cleveland, Ga., was recorded telling the informant.

serr8d at one time posted sane, relevant comments, in the past. He has always been a repub, but the teaparty must use some form of brainwashing. His comments today are so over the limit, even for tea partiers, I would think.

all i question is the real motive??? if the passage of such a spot re-zone law will lead to other churches applying for such an led sign, then what are the chances that the city will become overwhelmed with externally motivated attractions and still lacking internally motivated teachings and discipline? i need help with turning away from a few life-long addictions, will a sign help me? will the church canvass the neighborhoods seeking to save those who are lost or just an outward sign showing no care and compassion for the non-church attendees? so many are lost and cannot find their way. i would spend that sign money on a re-hab program or vocational training or a nursing facility or something that will turn some unfortunate lives into meaningfull exixtencies. i'm no expert at anything. don't bash me for expressing an opinion.

Who's benefiting from the sign? Aw, come on fellows, what sign mogul has made a recent push in Metro circles.
