Up for Debate: Romney takes round one

Mitt Romney appeared to handily win the first of the 2012 presidential debates against President Barack Obama. Discuss the main points scored by each candidate. What were the weaknesses of each candidate? Where did their rhetoric stray from facts? What adjustments do you see each candidate making for round two?

I did not watch, waited for the board this AM and the analysis of the ones with common sense & so I could laugh at the ones with no sense. The no sense ones have not disappointed me. Raspy, Ben, yogi & bud, the regular Bsers & a few drop ins.
I'm not despaired, nemo. I had no expectations for this debate and I truly believe that there's not much difference between the two. The real direction of this country for the future will be dictated by Congress, not the President. Those races are the ones I'm worried about.
Ben Dover pops in for a hit & run ad hominem on Michelle & Barack Obama, somehow linking them with the cheering OJ defenders...(the Negroes)....then he takes credit for inventing the new Troll Dropping Avoidance Mode (TDAM) feature - the (click).
But Ben is too busy to chew the fat or engage in chit-chat....he's in a chipper mood...he thinks that MItt chipped away at Obama's lead in the polls...the right-wing chatter will be upbeat today...chirping sweet tweets....there will be chuckling, chortling & chummy chatter, for sure, as the GOP wallows in its own delusions.
Romney is a great salesman...caveat emptor.
Loner - I was wondering about the connection of OJ & the Obamas, but then that is Ben & he has to maintain his & yogi's black hostility.

For those out there who are reveling in Romney's "win" last night, I suggest you watch a few old Ali bouts.
The Troll Dropping Avoidance Mode (TDAM) feature has been a valuable addition to our tool chest....its creation was a joint effort...I smoked a joint...and the rest is history. (BAH, DAH, BING)
For some levity...the best zingers last night came from the twitter world...here are some highlights...
Mitt: "I like coal" Poor people will find it in their stockings if I am President.
The debate would be much more interesting & informative if a buzzer went off every time an untrue statement was made.
So far the only Zingers are in Chris Christie's glove compartment.

After reading all the variations of the debate drinking games, I have decided to simply remove my liver and set it on fire.
Gd, Ben's confusion is the result of being misled...he's basically a good guy...just heavily bullshat....if he were to come to my summer retreat and camp out for a week, he'd become a smoky, if not flaming liberal.

Brrrk, that would indicate that Obama's abysmal performance was intended. The rope-a-dope worked in boxing, not so much in politics. If that's his plan, I overestimated his intelligence.

The funniest thing about the TDAM setting was when the old troll monkey/ budlight kept pushing it. That just tickled my old bones.
It's OK, Papa, I should have resisted the temptation...but I'm only human...you can take a shot at my misspellings too...again, I'm only human...the mistakes will be forthcoming.

I think Romney really pissed off Obama, with the crack about winners & losers. 90 billion into green companies: Solyndra, Fisker, Tesla, Inter-One. Smoke was fuming from the Potus's ears.
The ''trickle down govt.'' remark was also funny, if you intend to vote for ''Mittens.''
This thang is too close to call.

Romney could win every debate and make a great case but in the end that's not why people vote.
Obama will win next month. He makes people feel good about voting for him, no matter what his qualifications or at this point, his on the job performance.

If you knew what you was "talking about" in your 9:09 post I might think you had a few intellectual cells in your brain. But, sadly, you don't. It's hard to read something that looks like you know what you're "saying".
Bishop Romney may have won, if people ignore the fact that he's slippery as an eel and never explains the details of any of his "plans."
Perhaps Bishop Romney's magical undies make him invulnerable to the prying eyes of voters, who would like to know what he really plans to do, once elected. It seems obvious that he favors more tax cuts and less responsibility for the top 1%, which means either more taxes or more hardships for everyone else. "Trickle down" is voodoo, and Romney-Ryan are its witchdoctors.

Does it depend on who answers NCP's suggested subject whether it's derogative or not?
Back in '08, Obama had "the Rahmrod" on his staff....today, Rahm's the mayor of Windy City....without Rahm, BHO could bomb.
Maybe the prez has lost his enthusiasm for the job? Who could blame him for that? Some idiots are still claiming he is not eligible to run for the office. And the criticisms from the GOP have been constant and withering. Not a single Republican voted for his signature legislation: "Obamacare"...that has to be disheartening to the POTUS.
