Up for Debate: School board seeks counsel

Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:05am

How do feel about the Metro school board's decision to seek outside counsel in the charter authorizer fight? Is it the next logical step or a step too far?

If Charter Schools are Corporations, then having these schools teach their kind of religion, is a good way to get the masses to go along with the Corporate Way.

This make good business sense.

By: Jughead on 4/3/13 at 11:51

Balls.

By: Jughead on 4/3/13 at 11:52

Cap'n Nimrod has never been employed. Instead, he uses big terms like the "Corporate Way."

Like kindergarten much, Nimrod?

By: Captain Nemo on 4/3/13 at 12:28

When you have balls little dork, then you may speak.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 1:38

Bn..thanks.....I went to the link that you posted....let the Tea-Party addled GOP self-destruct.

Nixon's Southern strategy may have won the GOP some elections, but the party is doomed....too many hateful bigots with crazy notions, like the independent sovereignty and nullification authority of each US state....too many religious zealots trying to expedite Armageddon....too many tin-foil helmet types...too many preppers hoarding guns, ammo, gold and dried beans...too many home-schooled or Christian-indoctrinated ignoramuses.

The Party of Abe Lincoln is now the Party of Jeff Davis.....and that hateful ideology is long past its sell-by date.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 1:55

That hateful ideology is alive and well here in the South, Loner.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 1:57

I mean, look at the hate-filled posts made by the self righteous bullies that show up here. Education is demonized and outsiders are scorned.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 2:02

True that, Bn...the evidence is ample.

Back to the topic of the day...the title, "Charter Authorizer" has no pizzazz....and it does not roll off the tongue....and Spellcheckers put a red squiggly line under the word, "authorizer".....but, do not panic...Jingle James to the rescue!:

May I suggest these snazzy alternatives:

1. The Charter Starter
2. The Charter Kick-starter
3. Chief of Charters
4. The Authorizer Cauterizer
5. CEO, Office of Bullshitization Authorization (CEOOBA)

By: yogiman on 4/3/13 at 2:05

Loner,

If your man Barry 'get's a good shot' with his aim, our nation is doomed, not just the GOP. The GOPers are apparently in the game with Barry.

It's all political; just worded a little differently.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 2:08

Speaking of hate-filled, tin-foil-helmeted ignoramuses....reminds me of the Adam's Family character, Lurch..."You rang?!"

You gotta love this site.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 2:10

sigh.......

By: Jughead on 4/3/13 at 2:14

Balls.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 2:15

Yogi...those new one-dollar coins...the ones that look like gold...the Andrew Johnson Dollars....they have a micro-chip in them....so that Homeland Security can locate each one of us....they have different types of this dollar out there...some report location...some have an explosive device inside....some cause cancer....DO NOT USE THAT COIN....it's an Islamic Communist plot....BHO is in on it.

By: Jughead on 4/3/13 at 2:16

@Nimrod: If I possess a dork, is it not implied that I have balls? Now, go sit in the corner and try to matter, freeloading libtard.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 2:18

Curly checked in @ 3:05....Larry @ 3:14.....Hey, Moe....where are you?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 2:20

Loner, really...two is plenty.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 2:25

Yeah, Bn, but the dynamic of three ignoramuses working together, as a "team" makes for great situational comedics.

Two goofballs can be funny...but three goofballs can be hilarious....in my humble opinion.

Speaking of hilarity....where is Slacker...where is Darge?

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 2:34

Just performed my 4:20 ritual....that helps.

Our anti-fracking protest went well yesterday...very cold and windy....I ducked inside the vestibule of the Rochester Convention Center...to warm up for a minute...two uniformed Rochester cops...a black, female Sgt. and a white male "trainee"...quickly came in there and threw me out...the female cop tried to provoke me, but the Lone One is too mellow for that old trick to work; she could have broken my friggin' back.....or ripped me in half, like a wishbone...I complied with their orders.

And the irony is that many of the changes that have made Nashville a more attractive city (for both businesses and people) over the past few year were the result of the influence of those "outsiders". As one born and raised Nashvillian once told me, "It's no coincidence that Nashville was one of the last major cities in the South to get cable"

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:03

I agree, brrrk. Thank goodness for the Nashville Plan. The good ole boys would still have this city in the Dark Ages.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:04

Glad your protest went well, Loner. Fracking is an ugly thing!

By: brrrrk on 4/3/13 at 3:06

Juggy,

I saved your bacon on this site the last time you got out of hand.... I won't do it again.

By: dargent7 on 4/3/13 at 3:09

I personally don't give a shit about today's topic.
But, you have to love Jug_head's response: "Balls" To anything.
What does that mean?

Every socio/political problem in this country could probably be solved by denying anyone age 25 to 65 who does not pay any federal income tax the right to vote.

Then again, if the people who would lose their voting rights if such a proposal became law,had their way there is great liklihood they would like to see a law which would keep them from being arrested for impersonating a responsible human.

I never remember as a child being envious of the successful or expecting someone he government and the taxpayers to subsidize my existence. Then again I wpuld have fought to the death to keep someone from inflicting a tattoo on my body.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:10

The charter schools are popular because they would rather have creation taught in schools rather than evolution and for heaven's sake - no sex ed! Hell, they probably would do away with all the science courses and replace them with Bible study courses. And collect federal funding on top of it all!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:12

dargent, I think he just likes to see himself post.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 3:19

More from Jingle James......adding 5 more more to my list posted @ 3:02:

6. The Chancellor of Charters
7. The Charter Chartist
8. The Charter Dude...(Youth-friendly & Edgy)
9. The Charter Chap....(Nice & Folksy)

....and last, but not least:

10. The Charter Chargé d'affaires...(French words add Class)

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:20

How about "Charternazi"?

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 3:21

Happy 4:20...Nashville.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/3/13 at 3:21

Blanketnazi.......I think he posts on this site because he has the same respect for you that you have for him.

Diversity at work.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:22

Loner, I still haven't been able to find any NY wines here in Nashville.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 3:26

Moe (Rasputin72) shows up @ 4:10, completing the trolling trio....WOO, WOO, WOOO....NYUK...NYUK...NYUK....

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/3/13 at 3:28

OK, you win - lol! You just had to conjure one more, didn't you? ;-)

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 3:40

No New York Wines in Tennessee??!!

Your poor bastards.....I may have to come down there with a Postal Jeep filled with the fruit of the Empire State's Vines...a charity run....like the Turkish Flotilla with the Humanitarian Aid for the blockaded Gazans....A New Yorker running the Southern Self-Imposed Blockade....would the NCP run a human interest story on it?

I doubt it.

So, in the interim, try to contact NY wineries directly...many of them ship all over the USA and the world...but some states are on a "no-ship" list....I dunno about TN...here are my favorite wineries:

Leonard Oakes Estate Winery:
http://www.oakeswinery.com/

Rooster Hill Vineyards:
http://www.roosterhill.com/

Lakewood Vineyards:
http://www.lakewoodvineyards.com/

Keuka Springs Vinyards:
http://www.keukaspringwinery.com/

You might print that out or bookmark the sites, Bn...they all make a great Vignoles...tell them that Loner sent you.

Contact them online and see if they can ship to TN, or not...let me know what you learn...thanks.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 3:43

Yes, I did have to do it, Bn...just had my crystal balls tuned up...put them in "Conjure" mode....wow...they are working like brand new....well worth the overhaul and update costs.

By: Loner on 4/3/13 at 5:56

Blanketnazi suggested: Charternazi"....not bad....maybe Charter Czar?

By: Eyeknowdatruth on 4/4/13 at 8:05

Lets keep it real................MNPS.....is ran by a good ol boy system who want to keep black males out unless he has no "gonads"( do-boy). Black women are fairly safe unless they are strong- willed. One of these days.....those "good ole" boys gonna have to see Jesus about all the dirt and corruption. They are all pimps of the industry, hiring their friends and cronies for PD, consult, and the likes.
Answer me this my conservatives brothers/sisters.....how is it that metro has 47% of black students and a high percentage of other minorities and yet all of the upper level leadership is metro schools are white men......yeah .....I know.....its not about race....Tell that to the " Klan & Skinheads"! Peace.............
