What are your predictions on the pending U.S. Supreme Court ruling on President Obama's health care law?
Ben, I prefer a SCOTUS justice who flips a coin in order to decide, as opposed to an activist judge with an agenda. You righties like judicial activism when it strikes down an entitlement program...but eschew judicial activism when it is used to expand liberties and freedoms or guarantee justice for those oppressed....it's situational ethics, I suppose.
LONER,,,,,,Judging from your comments about Bork, I am assuming that he was a very good American and a credit to this country, Usually when you are critical of things and people I know that is your way of showing disdain for things of value.
I will say this; You do it eloquently most of the time.
What I want to know is, who is going to pay for health care plan for the 47% who pay no federal income tax?
The same people who are now...everyone else (through higher prices).
Ben, I said F&F could morph into another Watergate. They just need a snitch.
Jeez, everytime there's a "scandal", it's someones Watergate.
Our values are not congruent, Rasp....but we do share some common ground...and thanks for the kind word and the civility....BTW, how was the Foie Gras at Table 3?
Watergate is the new Waterloo, GD. In time, that too shall pass.
Loner, I think Rasp has a man-crush on you. If you catch a whiff of Grey Poupon, whilst out shopping. Run like the wind.
Yogi says, “One more step toward Communism”, LOL If this be the case I vote we tar and feather yogi, because that is all he will be good for.
The yogi child declares weather law. LOL
Ok lets call it OBAMADRAMA...
LONER....You are a good man and I often wonder how you developed your views of the American caste system. The Foie Gras was good as usual. I tried to find out while there who the supplier was but the answer was not definitive enough.
Loner thinks when the temp gets 100, we should find a bar and claim a seat and sip mint julep and wait for sundown. I drink to that!!
The silly monk whines about having to pay. Don’t worry little fellow, I don’t need your money.
Another bromance, Slack....they said that about Mike Burch and the Lone One....in both cases, I'm flattered, but I must admit, I got all I can stand right at home....and at church...and at camp....so many women....so little time.....aye, matey, that's the rub....and now, I break for another latte and a bowl of top-shelf Cannabis....
This one's a lot worse than a bunch of bungling burglars trying to boost their opponents' book of booty. Maybe another 'deep throat' will arise like what took out Nixon and almost took out Clinton too, slack; but the stakes are even higher this time I think.
The original Watergate was a helluva lot more than that, Ben. And I stand by my statement...we've been desentizied to labeling everything as the next Watergate. Especially when most of it is coming from the Foxtards.
" Loner on 6/28/12 at 8:05
Kosh, is that your personal wish list?
That plus a few others like winning the PowerBall. :)
T-12 minutes...I'm so giddy...the only thing that would make the wait better is to have Congress injest some bath salts and they eat each other.
Holder stepped in deep dogshit and he has tracked it into the Blue Room at the White House....nobody gets away with a stunt like that...take yer shoes off, Eric and leave through the back door...the Democratic carpet cleaners are on their way....apparently stuck in DC traffic....the smell of F&F dogsh*t is spreading through the entire White House....and it's too hot to throw open the windows to let in some fresh air.....it's actually almost humorous...except that folks are dying.
Rasp, my views have morphed and matured over the decades...as for the caste system in the USA, I don't buy that....with a few brains and a lot of hard work, anybody can succeed here, IMO.
Oh... the botched break-in was patient zero gd. Nixon's failure was acting on bad advice that told him it could be swept under the rug. "Sure, next problem", in hindsight, was not the best response.
Loner if Rasputin wasn’t such a phony he would move, but reality dictates his finical records are too lean for such an expedition.
Nixon was a victim of self-bullshitization. Even the high & mighty are susceptible to that....especially when they surround themselves with fawning yes men.
He could've had the best advice in the world and his own paranoia would have resulted in the same mistakes. The man had issues.
As always, the coverup is worse than the crime. Obama will learn this as well.
Ben says no bid deal about the weather. What I don't understand is how is ancestors survivrd The Flood. when Noah set sail. LOL
It's just an April shower...
-Noah's next door neighbor
What is it with the Republicans? Scheduling the contempt vote on Holder on a day when Obamacare is going to suck up all the oxygen?
The media really doesn't need any more help burying this story guys. The 'witch hunt' spin already has enough traction without you putting the facts of the matter out on a day when they have every excuse not to report it.
I don't think you understand Ben...F/F was stupid...but people really have more to worry about...like jobs, paying the mortgage, health care, etc. Reason number 213 why people think Washington is out of touch.
The economy trumps everything.
I wuz just pointing out the difference in Weather and Climate there Nemo. Though I have been known not to have the sense to come in out of the rain.
I sign up for the New Ice Age in the 70's, and I'm sticking to it.
Just wait.. you'll be ice skating on the mighty Cumberland.
Yeah... that's why Obama and the Pelosi / Reid congress blew 2 years on a health care debacle.
Congress can well multi-task enough to investigate the Obama administration's decision to send 2500 assault weapons to the Mexican cartels with no intent to track them and without advising the Mexican government.
If you've got a complaint economy call Harry Reid who's been sitting on hundreds of house bills for the past year and a half that he refuses to bring to a vote.
Polyester was fashionable in the 70's, slack...not the best decade for rational thought...
Oh quit your whining, Ben. If you can tell the parties apart, I've got some ocean front property in Arizona...
The USSC has up heald the health plan.
Bell bottoms are coming back gdiafante. I'm wearing mine now.. good ventilation.
Roberts was the swing? wtf?
If it's good enough for the Navy...
Nemo, I read that the mandate was struck down.
Wow the lib cage was kicked hard, woke yall up early!
I find it interesting how all you libs jump on yogi when he changes topics, but d7 changes it over to the global warming fantasy and it'a all kumbaya time. Hint it's summer, HOT.
Ummmm goood one teapublican kangarro court. but really, it's one appointment away from communism. Which yall want to have.
But here is the facts: We are not ruled by a 2 party system, we are ruled by the ivy league. ie Havard, Yale, etc. Liberal communist colleges educated our Presidents.
Wrong Parnell, we jump on yogi even if he doesn't change the topic. Pay attention.
Ben says, “What is it with the Republicans? Scheduling the contempt vote on Holder on a day when Obamacare is going to suck up all the oxygen?
Well Ben the GOP has been taken over crazy Tea Bags.
Where was you when they were driving cars across the Cumberland on tthe ice, slacker?
Looks like the climate has been warming ever since.
Dayum!!! Poor Yogi! I'm so poor I can't pay attention!
Ok, nevermind, CNN had it backwards...the entire law was upheld...anyone see that coming?
Just remember, gD, if it goes longer than, "4 hours, consult your physician".
BOOOOM! Thank you SCOTUS
6-3. Looks like Kennedy tossed a coin as usual and Roberts joined so the court wouldn't appear partisan.
This finger in the wind court double-dipped in the daffy taffy this week.
Quick... someone put the marijuana question in front of them.
Fox still hasn't updated their website...they must be having a tantrum right now...lol
Parnell wrote, "We are not ruled by a 2 party system, we are ruled by the ivy league. ie Havard, Yale, etc"
Parnell, I went to Cornell for two years before joining the US Army....the Ivy League had recently de-emphasized football... that was in the mid-60's...fifty years later, we can see that universities that educate young brains tend to rule...universities that damage young brains on the playing fields tend to drool...Penn State style.
yogi you ignorant old fool. When people drove on ice packed Cumberland, it was a lot shallower then it is today, there was not a dam at Ashland City back then and there was not the run off from sewers and other sources.
Now go back to you hellish place and taker your puppy parnell3rd with you. LOL
LOl gdia, FOX in the SOX.
