Good morning, Nashville.

The interview is old news...the original article has been out there for four days already. The original article was quite lengthy and only 3 posters commented on it.

Beth Harwell is a politician; as such, she is an expert in self-bullshitization.

Harwell is a big fan pf vouchers and charter schools...in other words, she's a Christian theocrat...she has no trouble rationalizing the idea that taxpayers should be paying for religious education in Tennessee.

A pretty face doesn't mean a pretty heart....I'm not overly impressed with the Miss Teabag candidate from Tennessee.

Good morning Loner.

By: yogiman on 3/18/13 at 7:06

Well, she ain't running for nuthin in Nuyawk, Loner, and I don't believe you need to worry about we Tennesseans. Thanks for the offer but we'll take care of ourselves.

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 7:15

OMG dumbass yogi had to be a dumbass early so everybody would know just how stupid he is. Shut up STUPID!

Good morning sane posters Loner & Nemo!

By: yogiman on 3/18/13 at 7:32

Yes ma'am, bfra. Gotta get a few things done today so I'll turn it over to you and your fellow slick sixers. Just don't attempt to compare my intelligence to your ignorance while I'm gone.

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 7:36

What cha gotta do yogi? Go ram some of yo lil books in people's faces, so they can despise & laugh at you more than they already do?

By: Loner on 3/18/13 at 7:37

Good morning, Captain Nemo and Bfra....and thanks, Yogi, for NOT mentioning you know what....try to kick the obsession....as for my commentary on items of local interest, it's a whole new world out there...I post on sites all over the globe...it's a global village...an outsider's point of view can be very valuable...I provide mine, free of charge...I do it for entertainment purposes, that is my reward....I do it for the social interaction and to hone and perfect my skills as an English-language wordsmith.

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 7:44

Loner - And I for one appreciate your interest & comments. Lots of times, outsiders see situations with more objectivity than locals. Keep the good & factual comments coming. Factual should be a guide line for every poster, but we have a few that has no idea what that is.

By: Loner on 3/18/13 at 7:47

Why...thank you, Bfra. I'll do my best to do my duty and to obey the Scout Law.

Loner has as much right to post here as any...at least his opinions are articulate, thoughtful, clever and on point.

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 7:57

yogi gets upset with anyone that doesn't lie & post BS like he does. That's the reason he likes bud, Ben & Raspy so much.

By: Loner on 3/18/13 at 8:00

Aw shucks...I'm blushing here...thank you, Gdiafante, for that glowing comment.

I enjoy reading your posts too, Gd, I never skip past them, like I usually do with you know who.

Bfra also posts interesting and informed comments; I always read those too.

Of course, Captain Nemo is a venerable, long-time poster here too...he, Ben Dover and I were all expunged and banned here, when Clint Brewer ordered The Great Purge. We are survivors of Brewer's reign of terror....a band of brothers, one might say.

Anyone else claiming survivor status? If so, log in and comment.

Bfra, birds of a feather flock together...'twas ever thus...the three cuckoos that you named are a matched set.

But. I must defend Budlight...she said some very kind things about me on one of these boards last week, when Jughead accused me of being a stupid idiot. I confess, flattery will get you everywhere...it is my hamartia.

This seems like a good time to throw this hymn at you...I wrote and performed it in our UU church...the pastor asked me to do it, after reading the lyrics...it's in a moderately quick tempo, I did it in a bluesy E minor...tin whistle and vocals with piano accompaniment...after running through it once that way, the whole congregation joined in on the repeat.

I’m just a hominid on a mudball.

I’m just a hominid on a mudball.
I’m just going with the flow.
I’m just a hominid on a mudball.
I’m just going with the flow.
When it comes to the supernatural,
What in the hell do I know?

I’m just a hominid on a mudball.
I’m just going with the flow.
I’m just a hominid on a mudball.
I’m just going with the flow.
When it comes to the metaphysical,
What in the hell do I know?

We’re all just hominids on a mudball.
Going ‘round a yellow sun.
We’re all just hominids on a mudball.
Going ‘round a yellow sun.
What is our earthly mission?
It simply is to have fun.

Loner comes back with a thank you and a song.

But the Village idiot sings his duh-caveman troll-droll.

By: Loner on 3/18/13 at 9:17

It looks like my 9:15 song & dance killed the board, Cap'n...posters fled? Loner overdose? Mea culpa.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/18/13 at 9:28

I don’t think it was that Loner. I think the subject did a good job of it. Too many questions and not focused.

We can make fun of Palin, maybe.

By: slacker on 3/18/13 at 9:30

Loner.. I love it.. sung to the tune of ''Life is like a Mountain Railroad''

By: Captain Nemo on 3/18/13 at 9:32

Not even our resident gas bags have shown any interest or understanding to it. There was no opening for Raspy to brag about his pretend money and it has to be to very confusing from yogi to grasp.

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 10:15

slacker - Wahoo! Jerry definitely had his own style & he was good at it!

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 10:21

Make that Jerry Lee!

By: slacker on 3/18/13 at 10:28

bfra.. I believe Jerry Lee.. was stoked on some Crystal.. whilst delivering that rendition.

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 10:32

slacker - He could have been that on lots of renditions. Especially when he kicked away the stool & danced while he played the piano.

Are we under a tornado warning? It's too nasty out there to drive, but I have to go to bank. Brrrrr! Don't like this weather.

Don't see jughead posts today; maybe he (she or it) decided to stop running folks down. Not nice.

Need hot tea. signing off.

Beth and Ron do the dirty work against the people of TN and sneaky Haslam signs their nonsenses into law. What a team!

By: bfra on 3/18/13 at 10:51

By: budlight on 3/18/13 at 11:43
Are we under a tornado warning?
Nah! They just put all those warnings out so people will stay inside!

By: govskeptic on 3/18/13 at 11:03

Speaker Harwell is the Speaker, but also has to answer to a very moderate electorate
in one of Nashville wealthiest districts. In spite of Sen. Ramsey rhetoric to the right,
he often is tempered by what positions he knows the Speaker is doing to get things
through the House. Her TCP interview was about as expected in content. She,
like the Governor, tends to listen most closely to what the Tenn Chamber of
Commerce has to say about a great deal of the legislation that's proposed. This
follows the same path as previous Governors, Speakers, and Lt. Governors of
both parties.

My weewee misses Loner.

Jughead, get some serious therapy. You deserve it.
