Loner:
I caught on your post you had TWO hernias?
You always were a show-off.
My very good friend from Maui who was a Postal Carrier in Pittsburgh, for 22 years, just had his hip replaced at Trippler. He's 62. In a lot of pain. Name is Bob Nichols on Facebook.

bfra: My recovery was rather quick.....out in 5 days.
Th Drs. wrote all these scrips for pain, Vicodin and Oxycotin, but I wasn't in any.
The Chief of Urology at Stanford did the surgery. I was lucky.
Weather: Cold snap. Lows of 41, Highs of 55.
Nashville looks like to be 29. Too cold.

What do you expect from someone that is always telling lies, g Blanket. If that troll every tell s the truth it is by accident.

By: gdiafante on 12/13/12 at 10:48

The ironic thing is that they seem to vilify the 47% as entitlement whores, yet they seem to blame the government for all their ills and want it corrected as well.

They're the 47%.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/13/12 at 10:49

Lay hooky d7 lol

By: yogiman on 12/13/12 at 10:49

gdiafante,

My insurance 'is' a part of the government. Or that is what I understood when I signed into it. I don't know about now, but in my age frame, when you tu[r]ned 65 you was automatically signed into Medicare. You had no choice. My "friend" LBJ made that decision for me and didn't ask if I agreed. And you know, I don't remember my GEHA rate going down, just "a few bucks" for Medicare. I'd rather have bought brew supplies with that money back then.

Being a government employee. I signed up for GEHA when I went to work for the government after my discharge years before I hit that 65 mark. I've been with GEHA for over half a century and Medicare for almost 2 decades and this is the first time my doctor's decision on what I should take has been questioned by the "supplier".

They are sucking up to the dog, hoping for morsels of food, g.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 10:52

It still has nothing to do with Obamacare.

Yes, they ARE the 47% and actually I'm not. They're the most self-loathing group I have seen. Ironic.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 10:56

I haven't been part of the non-tax paying group since I was a student and that was a long time ago - lol! I don't begrudge the "47%" because I understand that it is mostly made up of the disabled and the elderly. Sure, some people game the system but overall that is a small percentage and no system is perfect. Ours could use some adjustments and efficiencies created but overall it works.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/13/12 at 10:58

Blanket, if hate is their only course, then facts has nothing to do with reason.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/13/12 at 11:04

If you were to ask them who the 47% are, their only answer would be to say Them not knowing who are.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 11:08

Nemo, they can't bear the thought of being lumped in with the "welfare queens." And they shouldn't be but that is how the GOP gets their vote is to turn people against each other. Because goodness knows if you're not wealthy voting for the GOP is against your best interest.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/13/12 at 11:13

Blanket I wonder just how many of the tea bags on this site are, or have relatives that would be considered part of the 47%?

By: BenDover on 12/13/12 at 11:13

I know very little about the pros and cons of us running the Health Care Exchanges vs the Feds doing it. I know Tenncare turned into a total CF because we didn't match the services to available budget but were required to provide budget for federally mandated services. It was the flaw of the whole managed care model. It sounds great on paper but it never works in practice.

in any case I typically stay pretty informed about such things and if I don't know the intricacies of it I highly doubt many of the 829 random citizens do either.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 11:52

Nemo, my guess would be 100%.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 11:53

Ben, TennCare had a lot of problems, especially when it came to fraud and lack of efficiencies.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 11:55

For instance, I don't understand why TennCare recipients in Davidson County were not required to go to General. General always scores well and is equipped to handle a flow of people.

By: gdiafante on 12/13/12 at 12:20

in any case I typically stay pretty informed about such things and if I don't know the intricacies of it I highly doubt many of the 829 random citizens do either.

They were not asked about the intricacies, they were asked if they favored the state handling it versus the Feds or whether Medicaid should be expanded, genius.

Are you Obama admiring citizens ready for Barry's next move? The first issue he set on after the so-called election was going to the UN gun control. Of course that doesn't mean it means anything because it's in our Constitution, right?

Two questions: What has Congress done regarding our Constitution and laws since Obama has been in office? How many executive orders has Barry issued since he went in office in 2008?

Check out teapartyeconomist.com/2012/10/12/obamas-latest-executive-order-freezes-american-accounts/

Is that just corporations, businesses or yours too? Or course gun control will be "you too" if he can get away with it.

You all are the only group on the internet that I'm in touch with that supports this usurper so much. Are you co-Marxists or co-Communist with him?

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 1:36

Yeah, Darge....always trying to one-up the competition...had a herniated disc too (L-4).

By: BenDover on 12/13/12 at 1:49

My point stands. If the poll's audience has no idea what they are talking about the results are moot. That's why we're a representative republic and not a pure democracy, moron.

By: gdiafante on 12/13/12 at 1:56

So they should only poll experts? What a stupid statement, no wonder you stand by it, douchebag.

By: Funditto on 12/13/12 at 2:02

I wish NCP would put a "like" button on posts.

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:05

Shall we break out the cream pies and start flinging them at each other?

By: gdiafante on 12/13/12 at 2:07

And an ignore button...

I still get somewhat taken aback when Ben says something that stupid. He used to present as normal, I guess sore loseritis is a bitch.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 2:11

I too wish there were a "like" button! However, g's stfu button would be nice too.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 2:12

I think we should all put the STFU button on our wish list! Maybe the mods will give us a present!

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:16

Hey, Funditto, what's shakin'?

Some comment boards have a thumbs up and a thumbs down icon....Haaretz does that, for example.

The cumulative tally of Yogi's thumbs downs would run into the 4 figures range.

I'd like to see an option for sorting newest to last or last to newest...the row of first, previous and page counter buttons could be located near the top of the page....just under the article's text.....instead of at the bottom of the page.....to save on scroll downs.

Thank God that we do not have a flag button here....we'd all be thrown out by this time.

All in all, this is a very good site....except for the troll....he scares people off; degrades the quality of the product....he's like dog-shit on the soles of your new sneakers....can't get the stuff out of all the nooks & crannies....very frustrating.

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:21

In fact, the submission window & its buttons could also be located near the top of the page, just under the text of the article, instead of at the page bottom, as it is now....again, to save scrolling down.

By: dargent7 on 12/13/12 at 2:26

Just for sake of argument...
I hope it DOES turn out Obama is a Communist, born in Kenya.
He never attended Harvard and wasn't a IL State Senator.
His two girls aren't his but adopted, because he's really gay.
He fooled them all.
What then would the psychos have to complain about?
Maybe, get their own lie?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 2:27

dargent, you forgot the part about him being an alien.

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:31

And a Muslim...let's not forget that.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 2:32

How in the world can we forget that! LOL

The 10 Most Outrageous Completely Made-Up Obama Scandals

http://www.nationalmemo.com/the-10-most-outrageous-completely-made-up-obama-scandals/

LOL

By: bfra on 12/13/12 at 2:34

He certainly has 2 very pretty daughters.

By: bfra on 12/13/12 at 2:38

Blanket - We have had every one of the 10 plus some put on this board by trolls, sworn to be facts. Of course, no proof is ever offered, even when ask for.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 2:41

And when the proof is given they show up the next day, posting it again as if it had never been discussed! Geezzz.....that requires a special sort of stupid.

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:41

As I understand it, Barack Hussein Obama is supposed to be a Kenyan-born, Communist, Socialist, Bolshevik, gay, terrorist, Muslim, dope-smoking, coke-snorting, bastard son of a Kenyan-born, Communist, Socialist, Bolshevik, gay, terrorist, Muslim, dope-smoking, coke-snorting, bastard...BHO is certainly all of that and he also has ties to the Chicago mob....but other than that, he's fine.

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:48

I left out the adjective, "lazy"...it should have been placed just before the noun, "bastard"...that would have been the cherry on that sundae.

By: dargent7 on 12/13/12 at 2:50

All it takes is listening to Obama speak in any venue for 10 minutes to know he's the smartest guy in the room.
Bush and Cheney's handlers had them only speak at military bases or gay/ lesbian hang-outs.
It's so apparent Obama EARNED the right to be President, vs. a Bush or a Kennedy who BOUGHT into the program thru daddy's connections and money.
Obama overcame all odds.
And he looks cool doing it.
I don't give a shit if he's from Area 51 in Roswell, NM.

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:53

Upon further review..."bastard" was used as both an adjective and a noun in that post...the word, "bastard" almost begs the modifier, "lazy".

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 2:57

Amen, brother Darge....dynastic democracy sucks...Obama is a very intelligent, well-informed, thoughtful and articulate man....and he's also good-looking and healthy..the man is a poster-boy for hybrid vigor?

By: yogiman on 12/13/12 at 2:58

Then they could hire you and your [fellow co-posters] who agree to see which ones y'all might like, eh, Funditto?

We common sensors agree you should be entitled to post what you wish, as long as it isn't vulgar, and I, and others, should also have the same privilege.

So, what do you think of Ladd Everitt's comment? He's a spokesman for the 'Coalition to Stop Gun Violence', as if guns kill people... and animals without pulling a trigger. Probably vegetables, too, if you "hit 'um right'.

I have known of a trigger being pulled by a dog in my life, but the rest of them were pulled by people; human beings.

He said; "I am certain Obama thinks our gun laws are insane, and he doesn't ever have to run for office again".

Within hours after the November 11 election Barry's State Department gave full approval to finalize the UN "Small Arms treaty".

If Ladd Everitt thinks Obama won't ever run again, he may be right if he can't pull off his dictatorship takeover. But it looks like he's off to a pretty good start with congress backing him up on that little tidbit. They like the power, too.

Are you ready for the USSA, Funditto? I'm not. I want my heirs to have as good of a USA as I've enjoyed for my 82 years... and more, I hope.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/13/12 at 3:01

yogi, have you read the treaty? Apparently not!

By: dargent7 on 12/13/12 at 3:02

Loner...don't get me wrong.
I thought JFK (especially) and RFK were incredible.
I was too young to really know who they were. Teddy was a dick...
But, G HW Bush was a pansy and G W Bush was an idiot. The Bush lineage is a joke.
Jeb Bush for President? I'd rather turn gay.
No way did Bush, Jr. earn a MBA from Harvard and get 1,280 on his SAT's.
He bought all of it
Wholesale.

By: yogiman on 12/13/12 at 3:03

One more little point, Funditto; don't you reckon the NCP might like what I and other America loving Americans think and offer on this site? Or do you think they should just allow what you and your fellow posters offer on this site? After all, y'all are the experts on all subjects, aren't you?

By: dargent7 on 12/13/12 at 3:08

" Obama thinks our gun laws are insane..."
Naw.
Just yesterday a 22 year old stole an AR-15 and shot dead two people in a mall in Oregon.
Then killed himself.
The USA has over 22,000 murders a year...every year.
I think Canada comes in 2nd with 8.
Tokyo, Japan with 18 million people, has 5.
So, to a Republican, the USA doesn't have a "gun problem". "It's a people problem"....

By: yogiman on 12/13/12 at 3:19

OK, children,

My Holiday present to y'all, Kids (please note I used a capitol [K]. In case you don't know, I'm showing respect for your privileges)). I would normally say Christmas present but our 'guvmunt' has allowed too many 'anti-Christers' to gripe and argue God doesn't exist. So they have to let them win so they can win their vote.

But my kids and grand children are coming "home" for Christmas so from the 23rd to the 29th y'all can have it. That is, unless my son-in-law and grandson don't want to go out on my farm and shoot something while they're here. And since I've giving my daughter a nice little handy "unit" for Christmas, she and my granddaughter might want to go out and shoot, too.

I hope the hell none of us shoots one of the others.

We had a nice sunny day here today...got up to 46F....no wind....very still air out there right now...and it's quiet...no insects, songbirds etc. The Erie Canal has been drained down to its Winter level...my wide-waters is now a puddle-pocked mud flat....even so, it surely beats having neighbors living there...I'll take it as it is....winter solitude is setting in.

BTW, the sun sets in Hartford, CN tonight at 4:20 EST....it's 4:20 in New York right now!

By: Loner on 12/13/12 at 3:41

Darge, I was a junior in HS, sitting in American History class, when the school principal came on the intercom with the bad news...it was on a Friday afternoon...like 9-11, it left an indelible impression on everyone who was alive at the time.

I was a big fan of the Jewish state idea at the time...the nuns were big fans of Zionism, so I got that notion from them and from the media. I had no idea, at the time, that JFK had sent Israeli PM Ben Gurion an ultimatum, in the Spring of that year...JFK said "NO", to Israeli nuclear WMD...Ben Gurion abruptly resigned and secretly created the Mossad.

The murder of JFK went down in Dallas, TX....LBJ's stomping grounds.

Curiously, a Jewish guy, terminal with cancer, snuffed the trigger man before he could be adequately interrogated. The investigation was botched, in the opinion of many.

LBJ quickly, but quietly gave Israel the OK to develop their nuclear weapons program.

Just coincidence?

Remember, the Israelis assassinated the UN's first peace envoy, Count Bernadotte, in 1948....they have been snuffing their perceived enemies ever since.

BTW, LBJ quickly forgave the Israelis for their prolonged air and sea attack on the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967...some say that the Israelis had LBJ by the balls, hence his compliance in the cover up....34 sailors were killed...dozens maimed...horrific burns etc.

LBJ may have been the worst POTUS ever....IMO, he's a prime candidate.
