Up for Debate: Working prisoners back into society

With the closing of the Charles Bass work-release facility, the state is short on minimum-security facilities aimed at giving prisoners opportunities to work their way back into society and potentially reduce the risk of reoffending. Do you believe officials should act to provide more of such facilities and opportunities for inmates, or do you fear the risk of escapes could outweigh any long-term benefits?

The biggest thing that worry's me now is the fact that the majority of congress are lawyers and they let this happen to begin with.
