Let the buyer beware using credit for lottery

A bill to create a lottery here in Tennessee will allow players to purchase lottery tickets with credit cards as long as they spend at least $10 on goods purchases in addition to the ticket.

The reason Tennessee is attempting to deviate from the national norm of just allowing cash transactions for lottery tickets is two-fold. One, backers say, is that they want to make sure Tennessee is set up to allow lottery tickets to be purchased on the Internet at some point. The language needs to be written into the law now.
