Letter to the Editor

We can throw out stats all day long whether your pro-Vince Young or pro-Jeff Fisher. But the final count will show we should have got rid of Fisher. When the season ends next year, I hope all you Fisher coattail riders don't go into hiding when the Titans don't make the playoffs again. I can't wait to hear your excuses for him then.

In the meantime, I'll be cheering for every team that plays the Titans.

funditto...I wonder if Serr8d and his cronies would be crying free speech if Palin had been the victim. Somehow, I doubt it.

"pig boy" is a character. an excellent read, if you're into good action novels. sorry to go off-topic.....

By: serr8d on 1/10/11 at 11:49

If you've a strong stomach, visit this photo gallery of the Left's past vehement protests.

Captain Nemo, you should NOT visit this. You brain is afflicted enough.

Serr's on the defensive today. I have yet to read his condemnation of the act itself, only his frantic attempt to blame those who had nothing to do with it.

That's the reality of the right wing fringe.

By: bfra on 1/10/11 at 12:00

serr8d - Visited you site (hall-of-shame), and it is, really. Those naked men definitely had nothing to brag about! Maybe that's their shame.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 12:01

You are correct about the butter knife being on the defense. His mouth is about to bit him. lol

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 12:04

No treefrog I did not get the pig boy from that. I was referring to serr8d action. He goes around plowing up the earth with wanton destruction. In the pig’s path is uprooted and devastated life.

By: gdiafante on 1/10/11 at 12:06

Well, I think it's time to build a snowman with the kids. We only get to do this once every ten years it seems!

By: treefrogdk on 1/10/11 at 12:07

gotcha.... and i totally agree.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 12:11

Like I have said before, there is only three reason for clothing; protection, adornment and OMG. lol

By: brrrrk on 1/10/11 at 12:12

Anyone else here find it odd that we saw no tears from our new "Weeper of the House" when he made comments about the attempt on Gabrielle Giffords life?

By: pswindle on 1/10/11 at 12:17

Bud saved the right man. Vince thought that he was bigger than Fisher or Bud.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 12:24

With the entire collection of pictures that pig boy posted, it still does not answer my question. How many Republicans have died from any of this?

By: dargent7 on 1/10/11 at 12:25

This psycho lived with his parents. Where were they?
Just like the Columbine massacre, Dylan and Klebold both lived with their parents.
These "parents" don't talk to their kids? Don't know if the kid is whacked out?
The current nutjob had fellow students asking he be expelled from school.
The US Army wouldn't enlist him. He was arrested twice for dope.
What excuse did he give mommy & daddy why he didn't fit in anywhere and he was constantly getting into trouble?
My parents rode me constantly..."Where're you going".."with whom..." do your homework"..."get a job...."are you sniffing glue or on dope?"

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 12:26

I did not see it brrrk, but yes it is I do find it odd, but I can’t read anything into it at this point.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 12:30

serr8d lives in the basement of his parent’s house. Except they left without telling him where they move to.

By: dargent7 on 1/10/11 at 12:57

This snow has been certified by a Michigander as UN-able to build a snowman or a fort.
Not enough water content. Excellent for skiing, however. Vail and Aspen quality power.
Where are all the ski resorts located in this state?
I can't find one.
Ice fishing here is of poor quality, too.

By: brrrrk on 1/10/11 at 12:57

I just heard a reliable report that a group has been monitoring the Sarah Palin youtube site. It appears that the admins on the Palin site are working 24/7 to scrub the site of any comments that support Palin and her violent rhetoric..... the most egregious comment stating that the 9 year girl was fair game because she would probably grow up to be a Democrat.

By: bfra on 1/10/11 at 1:01

brrrrk - The one that posted that comment, should be investigated, immediately.

By: bfra on 1/10/11 at 1:05

d7 - No ice fishing in these parts! And Arrington Vineyard is closed today, no wine. Now out in the Vineyard's country, you might find some slopes for sleding, but doubtful of high & clear enough to ski.

By: Funditto on 1/10/11 at 1:06

D7 - your parents were riding you like that when you in your early twenties? Really? This nut was 22. Most serious psychological problems like schizophrenia do not show up until late adolescence. There probably wasn't much they could do.

By: BenDover on 1/10/11 at 1:08

The shooter's definitely a lib. He's got the primary and terminal symptom of liberalism.... 'everyone else is an idiot'.

By: serr8d on 1/10/11 at 1:08

Mother Jones interviewed a good friend of Loughner, who thinks Loughner did this because he quit smoking pot (he got worse in the head), and...

Since hearing of the rampage, Tierney has been trying to figure out why Loughner did what he allegedly did. "More chaos, maybe," he says. "I think the reason he did it was mainly to just promote chaos. He wanted the media to freak out about this whole thing. He wanted exactly what's happening. He wants all of that." Tierney thinks that Loughner's mindset was like the Joker in the most recent Batman movie: "He f*cks things up to f*ck shit up, there's no rhyme or reason, he wants to watch the world burn. He probably wanted to take everyone out of their monotonous lives: 'Another Saturday, going to go get groceries'—to take people out of these norms that he thought society had trapped us in."

Hmmm, let's see..... he appears to be anti-government, pro-gun, pro-violence, and a believer in the "goverment is controlling us through grammar" theories of pro-militia judge David Wynn Miller. Yep, that's a left winger all right.

By: BenDover on 1/10/11 at 1:24

We'll see, Brrrk.

By: yogiman on 1/10/11 at 1:26

Please, Nimrod,

When are you going to learn to spell? You keep spelling "want" for "won't" and you are now spelling "Lizard" for Wizard". Please, the "W" is on the left side of the keyboard and the "L" is on the right side, one row down from the top letter row holding the "W"

You seem to be placing yourself in such a state you have the "right" to tell anyone how to run their (not there) business. You should mind your own..

By: brrrrk on 1/10/11 at 1:27

"Hang on, let me just tell you what I'm thinking. I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out -- is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, 'Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore,' and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, 'Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death.' And you know, well, I'm not sure." - Glenn Beck, From the May 17 broadcast of The Glenn Beck Program

Hey, gdiafante,

you can always drink water. Know what that is? It's that liquid stuff that goes down your commode when you flushit (misspelled word intended)..

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 1:40

brrrrk this proved it.

The controversy is not, of course, whether Palin is directly linked to the shooting or if she condoned it, but rather if she has contributed to the feeling of polarization and violent speech that is becoming more and more common in the political landscape as of late. Sarah Palin turned to Facebook as well to state her condolences to Giffords and the rest of the victims of the attack.

Don't you understand our laws of today, treefrogdk? He is innocent until proven guilty. That's what they say, even though a number of people are watching it happen. They apparently don't believe those people understood what they saw happening.

Other cases have shown you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent, and in some of those cases you aren't allowed to provide self serving evidence, i.e., in our way of thinking, you are guilty.

My thought on this issue; Arizona is an "open arms" state. Wasn't anyone in that group armed? That the young man could fire 30 rounds before being attacked makes you wonder; were they afraid of being shot? I read where they all, except a few, ran from the scene.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 1:56

BenDover has just proved what I said about the fringe trying to hide from there wild accusations. Their rhetoric is coming back to bit them.

NO NO NO you half wit. I said LIZARD of Gordonsville because you are only using half of the Reptilian part of your brain.

It seems anything can be said by any politician (or want to be), in favor of, or against, until a tragedy occurs. then all hell breaks out and they are "at fault".

As the "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", the blame is also in the "game of the insane."

So, in yogi's mind the only safe world is a world where all people are armed? Gee, if those people all were responsible enough the carry guns, this wouldn't have happened. How sad is that? A typical blame the victim mentality.

By: yogiman on 1/10/11 at 2:32

Capatin Nemo (nimrod),

Please don't compare me to yourself. I don't have cold blood as you seem to. My blood is warm. And I don't creep and crawl around on my belly like you seem to like your fellow reptiles. I walk on my own two feet. And I ain't sneaky about what I say to other people. I say what I think.

So, as you can see, Sir (as I use the term loosely), I ain't like you, so, please, don't compare me to you.

And by the way, on your 11:01 post you mentioned "His mouth is about to bit him." Did you mean 'bite' him? It concludes the sentence differently.

And on your 11:30 post regarding srr8d you write; "Except they left without telling him where they move to." Did you mean 'moved' to, or are you referring to them moving constantly; such as on a daily basis? Is that absolute knowledge or lack of brain thought?

By: Loner on 1/10/11 at 2:34

Back from my morning duties....time to harass the Nashville regulars.

As I said earlier, the blame game for the Tucson massacre is fully underway.

The left claims the shooter was influenced by right-wing demagogues; the right claims the shooter was a leftist, influenced by Karl Marx.

Since Hitler's Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto were both on this guy's reading list, it' sounds like his tastes for extremism and authoritarianism were "well-rounded" .

As America searches for a scapegoat to blame for this tragedy, both the leftists and the righties are pointing to evidence to support their allegations. Americans want to resolve the blame issue; Homeland Security has stepped in to save the day.

Rather than blaming the far right or the far left, Homeland Security is spinning this episode as a case of possible anti-Semitic terrorism. The Congresswoman is Jewish. and her murdered aide, Mr. Zimmerman was too.

Homeland Security is trying to link the alleged shooter with the New Century Foundation. a "think tank" that publishes American Renaissance, a monthly magazine dealing with immigration, race and racial issues.

New Century is claiming that the alleged gunner was not on their mailing list, never was and they claim the suspect never contacted them.

The New Century Foundation is on the Southern Poverty Law's fecal roster.

Since both major US political parties are hugely pro-Israel and eschew anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and all other "anti-Israeli" ideas, both parties would like to pin the blame on a third party. If the shooter was an Arab, the problem would be resolved, right off the bat..

Blaming this horrific attack on "anti-Semitism" provides cover to both the fringe right and the fringe left. The nation's attention would thus be diverted and "harnessed", to some extent.

I we label this as an anti-Semitic act, then this is a terrorist attack....Homeland Security steps in. to handle the case. Down the road, HS and Defense budgets increase, not decrease.

If we call this an anti-Semitic terrorist attack . and leave it at that, we run the risk of misdiagnosing the ailment and administering the wrong remedies.

No, Serr8d, I do not blame the Jewish People for all of America's, or the world's problems; your insinuation that I would hold racist views of that nature is an example of the kind of baseless, yet vicious personal attacks that have become so common these days. An apology would be in order, Sir.

Yes, I question the conventional wisdom concerning the US-Israel so-called "special relationship". If exercising my constitutional; right to question authority, especially in matters like this, is now considered "anti-Semitic", by nature, then we have gone from being a Constitutional democracy to a Judeo-Christian theocracy.

I don't think we are quite there, yet....but we are sliding into faith-based governance and with it comes eternal, perhaps terminal Holy War........Amen, brothers and sisters, Holy Wars Suck.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 2:35

Poor old yogi is now in a predicament of having to defend Palin and the other right-wing fringe, that his only comebacks or correcting.

By: yogiman on 1/10/11 at 2:41

Not to change the subject, folks, but I read where Master Obama is planning to hand the U.S. Commerce Department authority over a forthcoming cybersecurity effort to create an Internet ID for Americans.

Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard Schmidt said, "It's the absolute perfect spot in the U.S. Government to centralize efforts toward creating an "identity ecosystem" for the Internet."

What's next toward government control?

By: Loner on 1/10/11 at 2:53

Yes, House, I read the link and left a reply:

http://new-york-loner.livejournal.com/

Mona Charen is a professional zealot, specializing in shilling for Israel....shilling for shekels, one might say. She's one of the top Kosher Kool-Aid Ladies.....her flavor is very tart....lip-puckering, they say. She does have a sweet @ss, however.

If what was good for Israel was always good for the USA, then I would not care about it so much; since the reverse is often the case, I do care about it; every American should.

House, In my opinion, acid-tongued wordsmiths, like Moaning Mona are dangerous, unregistered foreign agents....Mona suffers from that dual-allegiance ailment....you might call it, "Pollard's Disease".

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 2:53

Loner-

I said earlier you hit a never of serr8d. His response was almost predicable to the word

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 2:58

If you are uncomfortable with the happening in Arizona, change the subject.

By: yogiman on 1/10/11 at 3:04

Nimrod,

You goofed again. Site where I said Obama was not an American. You can't because I haven't. I, as has many other true Americans in this nation, questioned him about being a "natural born citizen" of this nation giving him the right to hold that office.

It is quite simple, simply provide a birth certificate. Maybe you should study the constitution. It isn't really a long document.

As far as the Constitution of this nation is concerned, you apparently can't see beyond your nose.

By: dargent7 on 1/10/11 at 3:04

Fun-D: You're right. But, Dylan and Klebold where H.S. students, 17 & 18, living at home. Where were the parents?
And this Jered nut had 'troubles" for the past 5 years. So, he was 17, too.
All three were 17 and...where were the parents?

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 3:08

brrrrk - yogi's problem, he can't show any proof that Obama is not a US citizen, so he just keeps yappin' & blowing smoke. He has been asked many times, just show the proof, he can't.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/10/11 at 3:34

First off shinestx I am not a leftist and second Loughner sound more like a Tea Bagger according to his friends.

"He was like ... 'What do you think of these people who are working for the government and they can't describe what they do?'" one friend told The Associated Press on Sunday.

"He did not like government officials, how they spoke. Like they were just trying to cover up some conspiracy," the friend added.
