Letter to the Editor
I grew up in a family like [those in the article about criminal clans] in northeast Nashville in the 1950s and '60s, and I can tell you first hand it's passed from generation to generation. It's hard to do right [as a young person] because you're sometimes forced to participate. You're also [labeled] as a "goody, goody two shoes."
I had jobs from the time I was 13 and that kept me out of trouble after school and on weekends. I joined the marines as soon as I was 18, so I could get away. I came back to Nashville after 37 years away and found most of the people in my family are still corrupt and so are their children. I don't even associate with them. Here's what you have to do: Save the kids. They can be taught a new paradigm, but you have to get them young and you have to protect them from being beaten into doing wrong by people who don't know, and don't want to know, a different lifestyle.
Or simply take them away from their parents and put them in good environments.

Sorry you lost your wife after 30 years. I was married to one of them "damn Yankees" from Pennsylvania for 38 years before her death. I had to convince her to "come on down".
Regretfully, you don't seem to have a sense of humor. Consider this my last post to acknowledge any more of your negative comments to me.

Now if you were married to a woman from the north, then you should have more respect for our northern countryman.
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) is delivering the official rebuttal to President Obama's State of the Union next week. But, thanks to technology and the tea party movement, it won't be the only Republican response. In concert with Tea Party Express, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is delivering her own post-speech message.
Is this just another step toward a third party in America?
Right now, the tea party is just the far right arm of the GOP. Their candidates ran under the "R". It's not a third party.
Then again, everytime a tea bagger opens their mouth the public gets to see how dumb they really are (Bachmann saying the founding fathers "worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the U.S.").

In a July 1854 essay, Lincoln wrote: “Why ... should we have government? I did not watch it gdia. I never watch any of the speeches, no matter who is speaking. I read what is said later on as many news papers, TV news and radio including fox.
Old saying in the South, "a robin is the first sign of Spring". Guess the robins are as screwed up as the politicians, and don't know which way to go.

Obama is an obvious Socialist, who can't speak without a teleprompter, no proof he was born in the U.S., dyes his hair, smokes, takes to many vacations, really doesn't like the family dog, doesn't believe in Jesus, probably buys lottery tickets, doesn't cry enough to suit me, bad golfer, reads Huffington Post, tweets Keith Obermann, calls Karl Rove an arsehole, favorite tv show is ''Glee,'' secretly envies Tiger Woods.
