Love sick
There are many letters and comments swirling concerning the Steve McNair tragic homicide.
Many armchair psychiatrists and Bible quoting parishioners, well-intentioned people, feel they know all the why's, how's and therefores.
“Playing with fire,” “God's retribution,” “a woman scorned” and the like.
With the forensic evidence, this woman took a love affair way too far.
I can remember countless stories of jilted girlfriends who take the sane approach when a Hollywood celebrity or NFL athlete cuts the relationship off. They burn down his house, sue him blind in court or date his teammate. Maybe all three.
Whatever Mr. McNair is accused of in popular opinion doesn't matter. What Sahel Kazemi allegedly did doesn't come close to resolving a relationship gone bad, regardless of the circumstances.
In life, you walk away. At 20, there will be many more opportunities to fail at love.

There was a great Austin City Limits show about 20 years ago with Loudon Wainwright with Leon Russell. One of my favorite all time music performances.
Just wondering if there was animosity, between the two.
Suicide is painless... it brings on many changes...
Blanket;
There are already nuts bleaming on Islam and I don't that was her religion.

Nemo, please give an example...
Well the made for TV movie about it on Lifetime will be out in a week or two and then we'll have all the answers.

Your previous post.

Sad or Funny? Guess he never heard of "eviction notice"
http://www.tennessean.com/article/20090709/NEWS03/90709016/0/NEWS03/Police++Man+attempts+to+burn+house++wanted+relatives+to+go++back+up+North+
Beaming or Blaming? lol
Kosh, i'm here to tell you that the eviction process can take up to 90 days and the people can damage your property and you can't do a thing about it because it's legally their residence and there's no law against vandalizing your own place.
and it costs money for the owner to file an eviction notice with the Sherriff's Dept. someone needs to look into the residency laws here and make some changes!
You could still file a civil suit against them though, right?
Blanketnazi2 said,
"well, i understand that some men are going to stray, but why not pick a young girl that is NOT psycho."
As Chris Rock once said, "a man is only as good as his options" He goes on to say that women "are offered sex everyday of their lives". But men... when they get hit on by a good lookin' young woman, well "that's their lucky day". And let's face it, a guy like McNair had a lot of options. He was just dumb enough to take one.
I don't think that being evicted was the main cause of this.
Now this should stir the pot:
perhaps God exists and real worship is rooted in rejection of the Word! Perhaps the Bible is an elaborately conceived fraud designed to lead mankind astray from the real truth - in other words, perhaps atheism is the "religion" favored by our Creator. After all, why else would he/she/it have created a world that offers no naturalistic signs of a supernatural beginning?
...The Creator would be most impressed by people choosing to lead good lives without the promise of life after death. Such a Creator would view atheism as the ideal worldview and the best possible way to worship.
Maybe they are all wrong (as atheists have long suggested) and yet the big Guy/Gal/It exists after all. The only ones going to "heaven" (whatever that turns out to be) will be the ones who relied on the reasoning which their Creator gave them to conclude that he/she/it did not exist. Just imagine ... only atheists going to heaven. Not all atheists, mind you. Just the ones who managed to live an ethically upstanding life without relying on the code of a supposed holy book. Just the good ones. All the theists would go to "hell" (whatever that turns out to be) or, perhaps, they are already there.

Yes, but you can't press charges. Isn't that a crock?
He was right in the middle of the Fannie Mae/Freddy Mac debacle and NOW he proposes this.
Frank proposes home loan plan for jobless

nazi, did you get up front money before you rented?
nope. it was a roommate situation.
and to legally establish residency, all one has to do is keep a change of clothes at your place and have mail coming to your house. that's it. i learned the hard way by getting scammed.
and if you kick them out without the whole drawn out 90 day process your open yourself to a law suit. seriously.
Blanketnazi2 very cool...
Some people just naturally see the carrot, others need the stick.
someone needs to do a news article and warn folks who run ads looking for a roommate. they may have no idea what they're in for.
Yeah... but you can take them to small claims court without hiring a lawyer. In half the cases like this involving a dead beat end in a default summary judgement because the loser doesn't even bother showing up. Then with your court order you can go to the sheriff's office and force them to pay or face violation of the court order (which can end them up in jail... but more likely will end in a long-term wage garnishment).
All you've got to do is prove the damages and a copy of the lease and eviction paperwork; a time long and an affidata by some contractors about the cost to repair should be sufficient.
What's the limit in Nashville Small claims court?

I thought it was cool non-linear thinking. 8~)
good info, Ben. i don't know what the limit is, but whomever is staying at your place can drag it out and make it a very long process.
Good post Blanket and yes it should stir up something.
Wow... roomate... that sucks.
yes it did suck. couldn't get rid of him. he ended up assaulting me and is now in jail. i discovered that an order of protection would take care of the situation for me. in the meantime, i had to take time off work to deal with court dates, etc. and have to go through all the pain in the *** of having my place fixed and having a future court date to have the money garnished AFTER he gets out, etc. etc. i will NEVER have another roommate.
Apparently Sahel knew how to make em move.
blanket: "and the people can damage your property and you can't do a thing about it "
yeah, so this guy, to avoid them doing damage to his property---burns the place down. LOL
Yeah, something else was going on here.
Nah... if he assaulted you and went to jail don't fool with the garnishment. Just put the jerk behind you and put a bullet in his head if he ever comes back around.

yeah, actually that's the conclusion i've come to. live and learn, huh?
maybe next time i'll just burn down my place - lol!

g, did he and Jenny hook up?
Frankly BN, I think Atheists confuse the hell outta most Christians. They can't understand how it's possible to actually embrace a philosophy without buying into all the dogmatic baggage that comes along with it. And for what it's worth, I find most Atheists at least as spiritual, if not more so, than most Christians. Most I know have delved into the philosophies of several faiths.
Jenny was his alias...
brrrrk, actually my atheist friends are some of the most ethical people i know and they have good analytical/critical thinking skills. yes, most have delved into the philosophies of many faiths and can hold good, knowledgable conversations concerning such.
most of my atheist friends are scientists, IT folks or some other form of geek.
