Bad diagnosis
Blue Dog Democrats are to be commended for finally saying “wait” to the liberal Pelosi-Obama juggernaut on health care. Getting it right seems to be much less important to the House and White House than getting it through.
Details matter in trillion-dollar undertakings that will dramatically impact every American. What’s the rush? Eventually, other people’s money runs out, so evaluating the real costs of the health care plan and making informed decisions about the hard choices is the minimum to avoid political malpractice.
Why not give people time to read the bill and understand what the 53 commissions are going to do? Wasn’t ‘transparency’ a campaign promise of the guy who is fond of saying, “I won?” Have you noticed the increased number of federally originated health care public service announcements on broadcast media? Is the Big Brother Nanny State here?
The autocrats are preparing you for them making decisions about your life.
The auto insurance market has functioned well with state mandated minimums and upgrades that people can choose at their discretion. If everyone had to buy a minimum health care plan managed by a private or non-profit insurance carrier, our current system would work much better.
Safeway [Supermarkets] employees have a miraculous health care plan helps them make informed choices about their health, wellness and health care providers. There are lots of models and options that work better than the current system, but none involve single payers.
Canadian health care only works because well-off Canadians can come here conveniently when the need arises. Above all, there is no need to rush into a bad decision when a better one is within reach.

It doesn't matter what people think or think they know. The Democratic and Republican parties have both failed Americans. We are beginning to see the emergence of a third political party - The Hispanic Peoples party.
According to U.S. population projections, in the year 2040 people of Hispanic descent will have the largest voting population in America. At this point, politics will change. All of these "crazy" programs will be reversed and we will see the emergence of a new America.
America is in the process of changing from an English speaking nation to a Spanish speaking nation. America is in the process of changing from a melting pot to a single one pot boiling. This is due to population shifts as some groups have failed to regenerate their own kind and one group has regenerate their own kind and continued to expand. This is not a bad thing but a shift, as one dominate culture is replaced by another. There were the Indians, the Spanish, the French, the English and soon - the Hispanics.
But as American history has shown, that culture, too, will be replaced. According to U.S. Population statistics - the next generation appears to be Asian. Primarily Chinese-American.
