‘Sick bill’ needs a cure
We do need legislation to change the health insurance paradigm. We need for patients to be more responsible for paying their doctors and more responsible for their own health. We need to assume that adults are intelligent and can make wise decisions for themselves.
None of these things are in the Democrats’ bill. The more I read about this legislation, with page references and the document available for confirmation, the more I see this as a benevolent tyrant’s dream come true.
The frenzy by Democrats and President Obama to pass "health care reform" would otherwise be curious if not for the intention to keep the details fuzzy. From the Solons who brought us the $400 hammer, freezers full of cash and the GM bailout, I cannot see the wisdom in handing over total control of the "public welfare" to them.
While Medicare is currently successful, Medicaid has been a black hole. Handing supervision of my healthcare to CMS — the anonymous bureaucracy with absolute authority and more regard for rules than people — is madness.
The Democrats' "health care reform" is a sick bill. That's why there are angry citizens speaking out. Begin again with an open and honest discussion of the failings of both private sector and public sector healthcare. The Democrats' owe that to all Americans. After all, they control Congress and the White House.

The only angry citizens speaking out are the few hired assassins at town hall meetings hired and transported from place to place by the Republicans who are afraid their corporate benefactors will lose a few bucks if we have healthcare reform. You should try to mask your true motives in your next letter.
The "Off-Topic" division is now OPEN for business. 12 LTE's about Health Care?
These guy's have zero imagination. Would it kill them to run 2 LTE's a day?
I'll start....Say what you will about ex-President Bill Clinton, who knows what he said to Jong Il, in any case, he got those two woman released from a 12 year prison camp sentence. Maybe it was all a set-up, but he got the job done. I liked the photo op with Gore too. Brought back fond memories when the country was running smoothly. Whenever I see current pics of Bush & Cheney and stories of what they're up to, I get out my air sickness bag.
"Begin again with an open and honest discussion of the failings of both private sector and public sector healthcare."
This coming from the side whose hand is being forced by Obama. If not for that forced hand, they would consider the system "fundamentally sound" and do what they do best...nothing.
End of healthcare tirade...back to important business...who played Larry Tate?
gd: Yousef Latif...or I mean Cat Stevens. Wait, that was Darren Stevens.
Who played the nutty neighbor who kept calling her husband, Edgar, cause she saw weird happenings at the Steven's house?
It was Mrs. Cravitz, but there were two actresses that played her, the first died. Can't remember her name though...
Who was the actor who played Paul Drake on "Perry Mason"? I think it was Hopper, the guy who was along side with Peter Fonda in "Easy Rider".
Good morning Earth!
On the flight to here yesterday I got to witness a young man prepose to his girlfriend. He boared in Nahsville and arrange with the airline to have her at the gate in Houston. He and the people of the airline ask for 11 passiingers to each give the girlfriend a rose the gate. (She was lead to believe that he need some hel[p to get off the plan.)
The man came after the others and preposed and she said yes with tears in her eyes.
I thought it was silly, but very sweet.
What was the name of the doll Cindy carried around, on the Brady Bunch?
FYI: I just found out, last week, Raymond Burr was "gay"...are you kidding me?
I think on my death bed doctors will tell me, "The reason you've had all these years of trouble with women is because you're actually "gay". "Thanks Doc". As I proceed to Hell.
It was not Hooper, I know that much.
No, it wasn't Dennis Hopper, it was William Hopper.
d'Pain: Never saw one episode of "Brady Bunch". Wasn't that "dad" gay too? I see a pattern here.
What was Eddie Munster's doll named?
off topic: pee in the shower

Heck, I've been doing that for years. I routinely go in the backyard or off the porch. It makes sense.
"What was the name of the doll Cindy carried around, on the Brady Bunch?"
Chief? No, Dragon? Wait...Chief Dragon?
Chief Dargon was gay?
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I suspect that the real reason the fringe right does not want a good health for all is that they want people to die or just be sick enough to not care what the right-wing wackos are doing.
Kind of like what all parasites do.
There is nothing wrong in being gay, Plenty wrong in being a parasite.
I don't think they want anyone to die...I just think that (1) they will oppose any legislation from the Democrats and (2) they are in the pockets of the big insurance lobby.
Oh yeah, and they fear change of any kind...
Well this letters theme died a quick death here today.
That fear will give reason for the fringe right wing not to care if people die. They just don't care about anything new, except maybe a new car.
It will return dooley. The parasites have not crawled out yet.
Nemo,
"I suspect that the real reason the fringe right does not want a good health for all is that they want people to die or just be sick enough to not care what the right-wing wackos are doing."
If you really believe this, then you must be insane.
And I believe 1. they believe in self-reliance and capitalism and 2. that government ISN'T the answer to all problems.
Nemo,
And BTW, seems to me the parasites are the ones who want to rely on the government to take care of them.
Looks like rating are sailing along like a rock in water.

Verbal Cartoon
Sara Palin was bored with nothing to do. She had shot all of the bullets that Rush had on board his big boat. The First Dude did not care, his was passed out at the bar for the last two days.
For someone that has three jobs, you sure do waste your time enough. But you are a weekend warrior...lol
Mr. 'Dooley" is holding audience over at The Tennessean....
I would have thought Rush would be in favor of health care reform...he might be able to get is fix cheaper...then again, he's rich so he can afford his Oxycontin regardless...
That is funny gdai. He must be wasting our tax money at the very moment. lol
Gdia,
Indeed...and one would actually assume Obama would be against health care reform...as he wouldn't get his cigarettes very easily! Then again, since he WOULDN'T be on the same healthcare system, it wouldn't matter to him anyway.
I am going to go get some breakfast and see if any ET's has arrives.
Gdia,
Indeed...yet I am working at least...not trying to get a free lunch from the government.
Cigarrettes??? That's all you got?? LOL
Gdia:
He dose have a flare for weak come backs. lol
I assume then that you have not accepted any stimulus check, tax rebate or anything else that would be perceived as "free lunch", correct?
Gdia,
More like, he's NOT going to be ON the same system...neither is Congress. Now if this is going to be SOOOO good, WHY don't they want to be ON it? LOL
Gdia,
Of course I would take it. It's part of the money I sent to Washington...a tax rebate is the return of money I've already sent to Washington. Those gettting the Earned Income Credit are getting a free lunch, getting money from the government they NEVER paid in. Correct?
Drink plenty of Tang, Nemo.
Chief, you know that Congress and the White House are more important than the little people, so their healthcare should be the best that our money can buy. Just like the new private jets Congress bought.
Just keep paying your taxes and accept what they tell you to do.
I guess there are more people watching Foxnews now.

"Of course I would take it."
There you go, hypocrit. But we already knew this, didn't we.
Next
Dragon,
Right...just send us your money and shut up. WE'LL tell you what's good for you!
gdia:
He still got that weak flare.
Fox News...LOL If I'm constipated, I'll watch Fox, it always works.
I guess it's never to early for a good Conservative whine...
Gdia,
Really? I'm a hypocrit to take back money my own money? Boy do YOU have confusion issues!
NEXT!
Gdia,
Well, considering how much Liberal whine we've had to ingest in the last few years, I'd say a Conservative one would be appreciated right now...particularly when it is killing a lousy healthcare bill! LOL
Gdia,
I suspect a large portion of the population disagree with you about Fox News...particularly as they have become such a success. Hard to argue with successful numbers, isn't it?
