What's a picture worth?
Just curious... You did a story about a woman [Lou Ann Zelenik] running against Congressman Bart Gordon, but instead of putting her picture up, you put his up?
Was the story about him, or her? Very interesting.

Maybe they didn't have a picture of her. If the story was about her running against Gorden I guess it was used properly if they didn't have her picture.

I listened to the Sonshine Network yesterday afternoon, a local Christian AM station. Some pistol-packing knucklehead by the name of Pastor Butch was taking calls from across the fruited plain. These people hate Obama's guts and they're buying bullets and beans. It's only a matter of time before one of these psychos gets through the shielding surrounding the President.
Biden is stoking the pressure on the top side, he's sucking up to the War Lobby, presenting himself as a better alternative to Obama. Pressure at the top and pressure from the bottom....Obama's days may be numbered.
Which one, Darge? I own five or six of them. The baritone sax (an old Martin) is on its stand, the others are in their cases. I've been busking with a wooden Peruvian flute lately; it's compact, uses no reeds and in the right acoustic setting it sounds great. I like to play that flute wherever there's an echo - stairwells, empty gyms, empty silos, shopping malls (away from the loudspeakers), churches too. The flute is limited in what it can do, but within its compass, it is very effective...chicks dig the flute.
Loner: Remember in the 70's when Paul Winter played the flute in the Egyptian pyramids? Talk about an echo chamber. You remember the 70's don't you...when we were young and good looking. Well, young.
I guess even Hollywood is feeling the economic woes of the country.

I just had a thought (nightmare). Rush Limbaugh is shopping for a NFL team. Looking at the St. Louis Rams, who stink worse than the Titans. They are 5-31 since 2007. What if "Bud" was looking to sell and Limbaugh bought the Titans?

Not having a photo on file is no excuse. If she has a website already, one should be there or they could have emailed or called and had a jpeg sent. It happens all the time.

They're talking about labelling California, the Golden State, a "failed state". Right there, with Liberia, Sudan, Guinea and Afghanistan.
Maybe, if enough states fail, the union itself will unravel. The national debt would be gone along with the IRS, the CIA, Homeland Security, Social Security, the Postal Service and the FBI. The federal armed forces would disband, the War Lobby would have to find honest work and Israel would have to finally settle its differences with its neighhbors. The UN might fold w/o US support and NATO would probably dissolve.
And then comes the bad part....

Nashville was 19 and Memphis was 51? But...from what I am told by Memphis people, THEY are the smartest people in Tennessee and we Nashvillians are just hicks.

I have family who live in Memphis...and they would be happy to leave if they could...unfortunately, that isn't an option right now for them.
I left a rant on the peace movement article in today's City Voices. DNewton and Tony Gottlieb left some droppings that needed responding to.
Saying Nashville is smarter than Memphis, is like saying Larry was the dumb one in The Three Stooges.
