Palin operates on instinct
Like everyone else and seamingly bigger than a Beatles reunion, Sarah Palin's book tour had me captured. If not signing her new book, Going Rogue, she's on all the talk shows giving "exclusive" interviews. I passed on the Walters and Hannity ones, waiting for the two-parter on FOX's O'Reilly. He's #1 in cable news because he says so every show.
I must admit, this former Alaska governor has it down, pat. Aside from her attractiveness, she's "folksy" and down to earth, and America loves it. She's developed a brilliant strategy this time around.
According to her, forget and nevermind electing those Harvard educated lawyers for office. She's aiming for middle America, pulling at the strings as a stay at home mom, raising 5 kids, with one disabled that she shows off as a badge of honor for forgoing abortion. "I'm like a momma grizzly bear, I look out for my cubs." O'Reilly and many others really liked that one.
And I think there are more like those snipets to come. She clearly has the scent, is on the pathway to aspire to higher office, and wants those keys to the White House. I believe she is like a bear in the woods. All instinct and no thought.

Why not? If you see someone's kids, they can be a good indicator of what kind of parent, and person, the parent is.

No, they sell photo ops with them for a million or so (and donate it to charity ???); they are in people, parade and all the tabloids being drug around all over the place. What's the difference? I don't see any.
At least politicians are trying to do something good for America - well some of them.
Hey, how about that health care - for free? japan's is free! They go to the doctor 3 times more than americans. Today at St. Thomas folks were complaining about long 3 hours wait. ha, ha, ha. I spoke up and said "betca gonna LOVE it when it's free and the wait time iincreases 10 fold or you die waiting".

Funditto, my mother was Catholic; divorced and married to my stepfather 33 years. They did some type of counseling and a process in the Church so they could be married. He was married 22 years with no children and his wife said OK, as long as she got ALL HIS MONEY. She did; mother got the best deal, Bob!
I wish Joe Biden's bishop would levy he same hatchet on him as Kennedy's did. Hooray for a Catholic Bishop for standing up to a Kennedy. If that's the church you chose to go to, then follow the rules. No abortion or support of it. (unless mother's life is in danger)

I disagree. There are many families whose children are as different as night and day. How many do you have? Are they alike?

I would like to know why the Catholics think the communion table belongs to Catholics only, in the first place? It should be God's table, anyone of any denomination should be allowed to partake in communion if they choose to do so. One person should not be allowed to tell another if they can take communion or not, IMHO.

No D7; that would be stupid. I'd recommend she fits into the 3% of rape and incest; that she and her mother make the decision but if she were my child, she would not have a baby. Then I'd say counseling. Because a person child, man woman who has been raped by any color of person or family member is tormented by the very act. So that person would need extensive support and counseling. But an 11 year old having a baby? I'd vote no on that, D7.

My crystal balls are working quite well, Lou Dobbs just leaked his presidential; ambitions. Palin-Dobbs in 2012, as a third party choice, could be deadly for the GOP and a blessing for the Democrats.
