A bad round

The media circus surrounding Tiger Woods accident is a total waste of ink and oxygen in their query to invade Woods' privacy. The media has bounced this story around until it has evolved into one of the biggest pieces of tabloid garbage that there ever was.

Pundits on the airwaves are clamoring for dirt and declaring that Woods owes an explanation to the public. My question is whose business it is beside his wife and himself anyway. They owe no one the right to know their personal business.

A report published by a particular sports news syndicate says that Woods will lose millions of dollars from sponsors as a result of his accident and resulting rumors, but I doubt very seriously [they will] because they are in business to sell their products and Tiger Woods is definitely the man for that.

A recent poll of the people showed, when asked if they were sponsors would they continue to use Tiger Woods in the highly dramatized aftermath of his accident, 66 percent responded that they would.

That tells me that media is wrong in their assumptions and even if he did lose all of his sponsors how much hurt could that possibly bring to bear on one of the richest sportsmen in the history of sports. After all they would be the losers in the long run if they dropped him as the face and user of their sporting products.

Hang in there Tiger and remain silent. Your personal affairs are nobody's business but your own and certainly doesn't interest me or change my admiration of you in the least .

C.W.Clouse, 37209

Tiger has been silent, hidden behind closed doors but choose while locked up to leave his girlfriend Jamiee Grubbs a message to remove her name because his wife had gone through his phone and might be calling her.
3 women have surfaced with proof so Tiger doesn't need to say a word. The voice mail he sent got him busted, the text messages got him busted.
CW Louse states it's nobodys business and yet he couldn't wait to write about it, splash it all over the NCP and making it once again his business.
If you claim to stand by Tiger than why drag his name through this paper unless you are mentally unstable. Would want a person like CW Louse as my friend. Louse person is two faced.

I think most here would agree that it is you who has the problem .
90 % of your posts don't make sense.

Mr. Clouse: Recently, I saw a picture of Tiger and his wife and mused that here was one couple that seemed to be getting along well. Shortly thereafter, I noticed a caption with picture on a tabloid. This time Tiger was with a woman, but not his wife. I hoped it was one of their "alien" type stories. Would that I had been correct.

Many folks seem to relish sensationalism, and take some sort of pleasure in other people's misery. Tiger has now publicly admitted his transgressions, at least in a general way. He might well have a tough row to hoe, but I hope he emerges a better man. Maybe in time he can become the world's number one husband and father, as well as golfer. In the meantime, perhaps the media can find someone else to attack.

I agree Nashville cat.

By: dargent7 on 12/3/09 at 6:53

I think before Mr. Clouse's LTE's ink dried, more facts and revelations emerged concerning Mr. Woods.
Now, there's at least 2 add'l women, maybe 3.
All that bothered me was him retaining a lawyer and telling the Police, "I'll call you, later".
But, this story has legs, and has achieved a life of it's own.
Before it's all over, Tiger may be a ball washer at Belle Meade CC.

By: idgaf on 12/3/09 at 7:19

CW Louse. I like it, lol

7 the way you worship at barrys alter you can spare some compassion for tiger or are you jelous?

The only way Tiger would be washing balls at BM cc would be if he bought it and was bored.

By: Dragon on 12/3/09 at 8:22

I'll agree with Clouse on this one. This tabloid garbage belongs beside the checkout counter at the grocery store, not in the MSM. Leave the man and his family alone.

By: gdiafante on 12/3/09 at 8:43

We love to build them up and then tear them down. He's fair game, he's a public figure.

It's also no surprise that the major media are covering this as news. There's only so much legitimate news to cover in a 24 hour cycle, and it's really all about ratings, not content.

Just as Fox.

Those of us who are not Bushcovites knew this already

"Admiral Lord Boyce said he tried in vain to persuade defence officials in Washington that the coalition forces would not be greeted as liberators......Lord Boyce also criticised the "dysfunctionalism" in Washington..."

By: Funditto on 12/3/09 at 9:15

The Merideth Baxter Birney revelation yesterday was far more interesting than Tiger and his women.

By: CAH on 12/3/09 at 9:17

I agree that the story about Woods is just hype to draw readers and none of our business except as a curiosity.

That said, I admire Tiger. His wife and those others are majorly hot babes. Admire? Actually I'm envious and envy is what really drives a lot of stories like this.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 9:23

Gosh, leave that family alone already. It's a personal affair (pardon the pun) and should be respected as such.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 9:27

Well if Tiger didn't infect Ms. Tiger with a STD, he will probably get some condum ad offers.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 9:28

Don't leave home without em.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 9:30

Maybe do some Ace bandage spots. ''Wanna know what will take care of that 9 iron to the head''?

By: gdiafante on 12/3/09 at 9:31

Uh oh slacker, you better watch the juvenile humor, Dragon will tell on you.

By: Funditto on 12/3/09 at 9:36

He will be the subject of ball jokes for years to come.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 9:36

I'm staying on subject, I thought that passed muster.
Guy walks into a bar with a golf ball wedged into his ear...

By: 2476 on 12/3/09 at 9:39

Tiger is what is called a Burger King man, " he has it his way. "

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 9:41

he's not out of the Wood yet.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 9:41

uh oh, now I'm typing like Nemo! he's not out of the WoodS yet.

By: Funditto on 12/3/09 at 9:46

I thought Wood was funnier.

By: gdiafante on 12/3/09 at 9:47

It's not really a big deal. Tigers are known to be incapable of monogamy in the wild.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 9:48

I'm betting nemo is on the road doing enforcement work for Frank Nitti.

By: gdiafante on 12/3/09 at 9:54

Nitti's a fargon icehole.

By: MamaG on 12/3/09 at 10:06

Good morning everyone!

I have to say, I have always admired Tiger Woods too. This incident has somewhat changed that for me. It makes me think less of him as a man, husband, role model. This just goes to show us that no matter how much money he has, or how hot a wife he has, he's still a horn dog at heart. Sad, that.

By: MamaG on 12/3/09 at 10:07

Oh and btw, welcome back, slacker! Your presence was missed.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 10:11

Where's chief? He should be dropping some West point, Chris Matthews, links by now.
Hope he's not ill.

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 10:14

Hi MamaG, thank you.
Been in Pensacola Fl. trying to hide from my bookie.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 10:28

oh, i'm sorry. that wasn't about the LTE. let me rephrase. it's been a hard week on my end but not as tough as Tiger's. better?

By: house_of_pain on 12/3/09 at 10:31

It's been a good week for me...I've been able to keep my balls out of the rough.

By: MamaG on 12/3/09 at 10:32

yep! I'm going to shop for a new tv this weekend so I can watch the coverage of this tragedy in high def!

By: slacker on 12/3/09 at 10:38

Hey pain, don't forget to delete your cell phone directory.

By: Kosh III on 12/3/09 at 10:39

MamaG

Check out Essex at Due West next to Big Lots in Madison.
I got an Olevia 42" 1080i new for $499.
Just make sure you do a bit of research on whatever model you consider. Sometimes they have great bargains, sometimes they have new, sometimes refurbished, and sometimes it's not worth the bother.

By: Funditto on 12/3/09 at 10:42

slacker! I hate that you missed yesterday's lte. Go back and look at it. We'd love your comment.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 10:50

I want a 2010 NCP calendar with pics of their new editor.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 10:56

oops, caught in the act and guilty as charged!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 10:56

sorry, i was off topic again. caught in the act just like Tiger.

By: gdiafante on 12/3/09 at 10:59

I'm going off topic and I don't care.

House, saw the end of the Titans game last night. Who is the D-coordinator of the Cardinals? Why in the world were they letting the Titans get out of bounds so much?

VY looked pretty good...it's amazing what happens when receivers actually catch the ball.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/3/09 at 11:00

Is this really any of our business?

I think that all a celebrity has to give to the public is what they can do on screen or a playing field. Their private lives should be their business.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/3/09 at 11:02

i totally agree, Nemo.

By: house_of_pain on 12/3/09 at 11:03

I think they were focusing on CJ a little too much at that point, gd.
It was a beautiful thing. I laughed all the way home.
