A man on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Top Ten Most Wanted list was arrested early Thursday morning, Metro police said.

Quentin Tyrone Smith, 24, was charged with first-degree murder for the August 2008 shooting death of 18-year-old Kenneth Crawley in the J.C. Napier public housing development, police said. Crawley was riding a bicycle in the early morning hours of Aug. 3, when Smith and another man, Finis Lewis, allegedly hopped out of a truck and opened fire on Crawley, police said.

Lewis, a parolee and alleged gang member, was arrested in connection with the murder last October. Smith remained on the run.

A break in the case came when Drug Task Force officers received information that Smith was inside a residence at 3108-B Brickdale Lane. Task Force officers along with a SWAT team were able to take him into custody without incident Thursday morning, police said.

Smith allegedly hopped out of a truck. Crawley, 18, was on a bicycle.
