Viewpoints: A junior Palin?
Harold Ford, Jr.'s dip into New York senatorial waters is turning out well for incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who is distancing Ford and gaining on former governor George Pataki.
Now, we'll see how far Monday's comment about Ford by her spokesperson will take her:
"With his constant attacks on President Obama's agenda, Harold Ford Jr. sounds more like Sarah Palin and the Republican spin machine than a New York Democrat who is proud of their President," said Gillibrand spokesman Glen Caplin. "Senator Gillibrand is proud to be working with the President to pass a jobs bill that will create new opportunities for workers and health care reform that will lower costs for everyone."

I have expounded on this Ford Junior stuff before and I think everyone knows my position on this. I am a native New Yorker living in Western New York and I can tell you that Harold Junior is not even on the local radar screen. If one asks a local about Ford's ambition, the typical answer is "Harold who?".
Senator Gillibrand is not stupid, she has burnished her credentials with the most important constitiuency in New York State - the Jewish voters. She condemned the Goldstone Report, for example.
Mayor Bloomberg has bragged that the biggest Jewish city on the planet is New York City. With about 7 million Jews in the city alone, that boast is a bona fide fact.
Chuck Schumer is sitting in New York's "Jewish seat" in the US Senate, Gillibrand is serving as the fawning upstate Gentile, enamored of Israel and the Chosen People. With these pertinent facts in moind, how can a black carpetbagger with dirty family baggage possibly make any headway in the Empire State?
Ford is not the kind of Democrat now that he was a few years ago . He wants to posture himself as a ablue Dog Democrat and try to play both ends against the middle . I don't think he can fit into New York politics . I think he is a Joe Liberman in hiding.
Has Nemo left town or something .? I noticed some good byes a day or so ago. I don't follow as close lately and don't comment much.

Then, the Japanese, precise as usually, find that it is 2.953 years old.
The Russians come with the final result: "The mummy is 2.953 years, 5 months, 2 weeks and 4 days old". Journalists curiously ask how they found this out, the Russians reply: "The mummy was taken to the KGB and he confessed under torture"
I want tell which is which.

Dusty had emergency experimental heart surgery in DC I think. That was 3 weeks ago and he has been in a coma since then. His grandson and so Jimmy has been keeping us informed.

i have a damn sinus flu. other than that, i'm okay. yeah, i hope we hear from Dusty's son or grandson. i'm worried about Dusty.
Blanket , it must be going around . I have the same thing and have been battling ear aches and sinus congestion something terrible . Now that mine is starting to clear up my wife is coming down with it .
how long did it last? i started taking xycam and benadryl.

If it's the same crap I had last month, it may be with you for about 4 weeks.
It lasted about a week and a half . Im limited by what medication I can take so I have been on benedryl and tylenol .
Seemed to work.
Harold Ford, Jr is his own worst enemy - He is the one trying to play the race card and IMO it is backfiring. I like most people don't care what color his wife is, but about his political aims.

Nemo, the doc is going to tell me to keep doing what i'm doing and just rest. i can keep my $50 and just use OTC stuff.
Sinus infections, flu, ear aches, congestion....and I'm just stuck here with that pesky 4 hour erection from taking too many Viagra's.

Ford, Jr's talks and attitude is like saying, I couln't fool the people in TN but I can in NY. I think he is in for a rude awakening!
He can give you antibiotic. If you have any at home or a friend has any you might want to take them. It is just a thought. You know what is best for yourself.

I did see my doctor but she said I did not have any infection just inflamed tissues so maybe blanket will be as lucky.
