Intensive classes stir up Viking
The Viking Culinary Arts Center will begin a series Tuesday, July 31 on the basics of cooking. The Essential Cooking Series for the Home Chef will teach students basic cooking and baking techniques and how to apply them at home. Classes will last 12 weeks and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. The July 31 session will kick off with the fundamentals of steaming, poaching and boiling. Class meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The entire 12-week series costs $349, $144 for a section of four classes and $45 for each individual class.
