Intensive classes stir up Viking

The Viking Culinary Arts Center will begin a series Tuesday, July 31 on the basics of cooking. The Essential Cooking Series for the Home Chef will teach students basic cooking and baking techniques and how to apply them at home. Classes will last 12 weeks and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. The July 31 session will kick off with the fundamentals of steaming, poaching and boiling. Class meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The entire 12-week series costs $349, $144 for a section of four classes and $45 for each individual class. The Viking is located in the Factory at Franklin, Building 13, 230 Franklin Road. Call 599-9617 to find out about the other classes in the series or to make your reservation for the series.
