Belmont falls to Georgetown

Belmonts second trip to the NCAA Tournament didnt go much better than its first, as the No. 15 seed Bruins fell 80-55 to No. 2 seed Georgetown today in the first round in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Last year Belmont lost to UCLA in the first round.

Belmont, which can be a dangerous 3-point shooting team, didnt have its outside game working against the Hoyas. The Bruins hit only six of their 26 3-point attempts. Andrew Preston led the Bruins with 14 points while Justin Hare had 10 points for Belmont. Guard Jessie Sapp led Georgetown with 20 points and Big East Player of the Year Jeff Green had 15 points for the Hoyas.
