Four 2012 playoff teams will help Titans prep for 2013

Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 5:16pm

The Tennessee Titans have not made the playoffs in four seasons, but the 2013 preseason ought to provide them with a sense of what it will take to end that drought.

All four teams Tennessee will face as it prepares for the season were playoff participants in 2012. The Titans face a pair of NFC division champions, Washington and Atlanta, at LP Field and travel to face wild card teams Cincinnati and Minnesota.

Tennessee and Cincinnati have not played in the preseason since 2003, a 23-15 Titans’ victory on the road. They have played each of the other three since then, most recently Minnesota in their 2011 preseason opener.

Exact times and dates for the contests have yet to be determined by the NFL, which released its entire preseason lineup Thursday.

Tennessee’s games will be as follows (all will be broadcast by WKRN-TV, Ch. 2):

Aug. 8-12 vs. Washington
Aug. 15-19 at Cincinnati
Aug. 22-26 vs. Atlanta
Aug. 28-30 at Minnesota

Who cares about preseason? Epidemy of NFL ripoff. Full price to see practice scrubs? Look at the Preds first 5 games of the season. They will be out of the playoffs before mid season.

Go Dores, Preds, Titans! Go Nashville a great place to live!

Correction: Look at TITANS first five games. Sorry about that. Guess I am just hung up on OUT of the Playoffs.
