Jaguars agree to deal with Holt

Veteran wide receiver Torry Holt agreed to a three-year, $20 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to various reports.

The Tennessee Titans had been in the running to land Holt, hosting him for a visit earlier this month.

The decision by Holt means the Tennessee Titans will likely have to look in the draft for additional help at the wide receiver position behind starters Justin Gage and Nate Washington.

The Jaguars were desperate for help at receiver after losing Jerry Porter, Matt Jones and Reggie Williams this off-season.

Holt, a seven-time Pro Bowl player, had 64 catches for the St. Louis Rams last season and was released in mid-March.

I have felt since the St.Louis organization saw Torry Holt as a has been that Jacksonville was the best fit for an over the hill receiver.

Agreed, over the hill.
