Adnan Hodzic was not born in the United States. Last week, though, he was recognized as an All-American.
The native Bosnia and junior center for Lipscomb earned honorable mention All-America honors by the Associated Press following a season in which he 22.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
He finished the season with a streak of 57 straight games with 10 or more points – the longest active streak in the nation – and had second highest scoring average in NCAA Division I.
He was the Atlantic Sun Conference player of the year.
In all, the AP recognized 57 players, 42 of them as honorable mention. Hodzic was the only A-Sun player to earn the honor.
Best worker I have ever seen and a young man of unquestioned character -- congratulations.
