Kelsey Wilson knows his way to the penalty box.
Monday, the 24-year-old forward found his way back into the Nashville Predators’ organization.
The Predators announced that Wilson, originally signed as a free agent in 2006, signed a one-year, two-way contract for the 2010-11 season. He spent three seasons in Milwaukee before he decided to play 2009-10 in Austria.
His new deal will pay him $525,000 if he is in the NHL and $70,000 in the AHL.
Wilson had a league-high 265 penalty minutes in addition to 40 points in 70 games for EC Red Bull Salzburg, which won the league title.
In 2008-09 at Milwaukee, he was one of four AHL players with at least 30 points (he had 32) and 150 penalty minutes (he had 160. In his first professional season (2006-07), he led all AHL rookies with 215 penalty minutes.
