Martin Erat posted a goal and an assist for the Predators in a 4-3 loss at Detroit.
The Preds have dropped two of their last three. Shea Weber and Jordin Tootoo also scored goals and Chris Mason allowed four goals on 33 shots in the loss.
The Predators trailed 4-0 before mounting a comeback in the third. Weber scored a power-play goal with 8:36 left to cut the score to 4-1. Then Erat beat Dominik Hasek to make the score 4-2 with 5:25 left in the game.
Things got really interesting late as Mason went to the bench to give the Preds an extra skater. Nashville then closed the margin to one as Tootoo put the puck by Hasek with 61 seconds to go.
The Predators pulled Mason again, but they couldn’t find the back of the net again.
