Defensive end Simeon Rice arrived at Baptist Sports Park Friday morning to visit with team officials.
Rice, released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a week ago, will take a physical and visit with the Titans, who are looking for help at defensive end, especially for a pass rusher.
Rice had 14 sacks two years ago for the Bucs, but was released in part because he refused to take a pay cut and because of his $7 million salary.
According to a league source, Rice’s shoulder could need as much as four to six weeks to heal, though one report from New York had him being cleared to play by noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews.
Rice spent Wednesday and Thursday visiting the New York Giants, who may be looking for someone to replace Michael Strahan, who is holding out and threatening to retire.
