Sounds manager hospitalized shortly after start of Sunday's game

PAPILLION, Neb. (AP) — A day of fun at the ballpark was interrupted by a medical emergency at the Omaha Storm Chasers' minor league game against the Nashville Sounds.

Mike Guerrero, manager of the visiting Nashville Sounds, fainted in the dugout during the first inning of Sunday's game.

Andrew Mitchell, spokesman for the Storm Chasers, says Guerrero was taken in stable condition to an Omaha hospital for evaluation. Temperatures in Omaha at the time of Guerrero's fainting were a mild 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Nashville Sounds are the Triple-A Minor League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Storm Chasers are the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
