Titans executive interviews for St. Louis general manager job

Lake Dawson, the Tennessee Titans vice president of football operations, interviewed with the St. Louis Rams on Tuesday regarding their general manager’s position.

Dawson, who has been with the Titans for five years, the first four as the pro scouting director, is one of three confirmed candidates who have interviewed for the job. The others are Atlanta Falcons director of player personnel Les Snead and Philadelphia Eagles director of player personnel Ryan Grigson.

Dawson interviewed Tuesday morning, during which he toured the team’s facility, met the staff and even chatted wbriefly with gathered members of the St. Louis media.

The Rams also have interviewed for Titans head coach Jeff Fisher in their search to replace Steve Spagnulo, who was fired after three years.

Dawson was one of the primary hires of Tennessee general manager Mike Reinfeldt.

In his current capacity he is involved in evaluating players on the roster and professional football scouting at all levels. He also manages the pro personnel department.
