The Tennessee Titans continued to tweak their roster Sunday, claiming four players off waivers, signing one, and adding seven players to their practice squad.
The players awarded to the Titans included former Titans practice squad player Casey Cramer at tight end, cornerback Eric King, defensive end Josh Savage and linebacker Colby Bockwoldt.
Also, the Titans agreed to terms veteran defensive lineman DeQuincy Scott.
Tennessee also has had talks with ex-Titan Robaire Smith, who was released by the Houston Texans. Smith will likely see what the market bears, but a return to the Titans is not out of the question.
"Floyd called me this morning," Smith's agent Michael Harrison said. "There are several other teams interested. After all, this is a 28-year-old defensive tackle in the prime of his career, but I have talked to Floyd and the Titans have talked to Robaire as well. So, we'll see what happens."
The Titans released five players, including defensive end Bo Schobel and defensive tackle Jared Clauss, who were both running with the first team due to injuries at different times during training camp.
Also, cornerback Rich Gardner, rookie linebacker Spencer Toone and tight end Gregg Guenther were waived as well.
The Titans filled seven of the eight players on their practice squad by re-signing cornerback Antoine Harris, defensive end Sean Conover, linebacker Terna Nande, running back Quinton Ganther.
The Titans also added former Vanderbilt tackle Justin Geisinger, ex-Christ Presbyterian tight end Cooper Wallace and former Southern Cal guard Fred Matua.
