Titans rookie admits he’s a bit ‘star struck’

Rookie receiver Kenny Britt is a first-round draft choice with plenty of local hype surrounding his arrival with the Tennessee Titans. But Britt admits that he was still a bit ‘star struck’ inside the Titans locker room as he first arrived as a rookie.

“I’m sitting next to millionaires. I call my father up and tell him that I’m chilling next to Vince Young, and told him about Nate Washington,” Britt said with a smile. “I go home and show him my cell phone and who’s in there. It’s still sinking in.”

Britt was bothered by a hamstring tweak that limited him during the May OTAs, but he is able to do more now. Momentarily last week, it appeared that Britt had tweaked the hamstring again, but after some stretching with trainers, he was able to finish the session.

He said that being able to be on the field with his new teammates has helped accelerate his learning curve as well.

“The hamstring slowed me down a little bit, but now I’m back running routes. I learn better when I’m on the field and getting reps,” Britt said.

That might be because when he’s on the field he’s not thinking about the stars in the locker room.
