Titans sign rookie linebacker

The Tennessee Titans and rookie linebacker Gerald McRath have agreed to terms on a four-year contract, making him the fifth member of the Titans 2009 draft class to agree to a rookie contract.

McRath, the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2007 for Southern MIssissippi, was chosen in the fourth round by the Titans with the 130th overall pick in the draft.

He started 25 of 36 career games for the Golden Eagles, and recorded 386 career tackles.

Other Titans rookies who have agreed to deals include receiver Dominique Edison, defensive backs Jason McCourty and Nick Schommer and offensive lineman Ryan Durand.
