Titans want to ring in the last unsigned draft picks

The Tennessee Titans have eight of the team’s 11 draft picks already in the fold, but the first two picks — wide receiver Kenny Britt and defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks —are still unsigned.

The third unsigned player is Javon Ringer, and he may be holding up the works. Britt’s deal will probably be the last to get done as he is the team’s first-round pick and will get a five-year contract.

The other contracts are expected to be four-year deals, per general manager Mike Reinfeldt’s new policy of preferring four-year deals to three plus a year of restricted free agency.

Ringer, a fifth-round choice from Michigan State, is the more curious pick that remains unsigned as Titans picks in rounds above and below him already have their respective deals completed.

“We are continuing to talk with the Titans, and hopefully we should have something done pretty soon,” said Bruce Tollner, who represents Ringer.

Marks’ agent, Hadley Englehard, said Tuesday that talks were still ongoing to get the former Auburn star signed.

The Titans have a history of usually having draft choices into camp on time, and Reinfeldt has not had any miss camp time because of contract issues in his previous two seasons.
