Tennessee State University cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been named to the first team of the 2007 Associated Press FCS (formerly Division I-AA) All America football team.

Rodgers-Cromartie, a first team 2007 All-Ohio Valley Conference performer, adds this latest accolade to his already-heavy trophy case. Rodgers-Cromartie has been selected to play in the East-West Shrine game in Houston on Jan. 19 and the Senior Bowl All-Star game in Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 26.

A 6-2, 180-pound product of Bradenton, Fla.,, was a consensus first team preseason All-America pick, first team All-Ohio Valley Conference in 2006 and preseason All-OVC in 2007 with six interceptions. He earned first-team All-OVC honors following this season.

Rodgers-Cromartie finished the 2007 season with two interceptions, both returned for TDs (69, 71). On the year, he had 11 pass break-ups, 37 tackles (28 solo) and 2 TFLs (8).
