Nashville Predators’ defenseman Dan Hamhuis and Shea Weber were among the 46 players named to Hockey Canada’s 2009-10 National Team orientation camp roster, it was announced Thursday.

The camp will take place Aug. 24-27 in Calgary.

Both players have experience with Canada’s national program, including the fact that they played on the silver medal winning team at the 2009 World Championships in May. Hamhuis has played for Canada in the last four World Championships, and Weber has appeared in two of the last three.

The announcement came two days after another Nashville defenseman, Ryan Suter, was invited to the United States national team orientation camp.
