Preseason All-American awards have about as much value as NFL exhibition season and baseball spring training win-loss records. It is a nice story that Vanderbilt has some returning baseball talent. As of December 15 these players have a combined zero hits, zero strikeouts, zero wins for the 2011 season.

Great point courier, much the same as highly ranked football recruits have not a single tackle or yard gained for the coming season but are highly publicized!!
