Vanderbilt gets to check out one of the Southeastern Conference’s new locations during the 2012 football season.
The Commodores travel to the University of Missouri on Oct. 6 for what will be their only road game that month. It also will come following an open week.
The SEC announced its complete 2012 conference football schedule Wednesday morning.
The conference expands to 14 teams with the start of the 2012-13 school year with the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M from the Big 12. That means teams play only two opponents from the opposite division.
Vanderbilt hosts Auburn on Oct. 20 and plays at Ole Miss on Nov. 10. It opens the season at home on a Thursday night against South Carolina.
Vanderbilt was 2-6 in the SEC this past season. Its only victories were against Ole Miss and Kentucky, yet that still was good enough to finish alone in fourth place in the Eastern Division.
