Citing personal reasons, sophomore forward JeJuan Brown left the Vanderbilt basketball team and withdrew from school this week.

The 6-foot-7 Brown, a native of Biloxi, Miss., played in all 34 games last season in a reserve role and averaged 3.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per outing.

Brown’s shining moment came last Dec. 9, when he scored three straight baskets during a 14-4 Commodore spurt that sparked Vanderbilt to a 73-64 victory over 25th-ranked Georgia Tech.
