The University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky have agreed to play each other in a four-year football series that begins in 2010 and includes a pair of games at LP Field in Nashville.

The games in 2010 and 2012 will be played at Kentucky’s Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, while the two games that would have been Western Kentucky’s home games will instead be played at LP Field in 2011 and 2013. The Danville (Ky.) Advocate-Messenger reported details of the agreement.

The Nashville Sports Council has called a press conference for Wednesday at noon at the LP Field West Side Stadium Club with respective head coaches Rich Brooks and David Elson present as well as athletics directors Mitch Barnhart of Kentucky and Wood Selig of WKU.
